I am sorry to hear you say you are a fan of the Zodiac. That makes you an enemy of a lot of people especially the victims families.

It is odd that you should say that, because those are the exact words used by my suspect, when he was talking to a young man in Vallejo in the late 80’s. The young man was reading Graysmiths Zodiac yellow book, when a elderly man walked into Bob’s Big Boy and asked the boy how he liked the book and if he thought that Zodiac would ever be caught?
The boy wasn’t sure what to say, when the man told him he was a "fan" of the Zodiac’s. The boy watched the man sitting at the counter and noticed the man kept watching him. He noticed that the coffee the man was drinking was falling out of the corner of his mouth and dripping on to the mans shirt. It didn’t seem to bother the man. (The reason for that ,is that my suspect is slightly paralyzed on one side of his face.)

A few days later the boy cut school again and went back to Bob’s Big Boy, the waitress gave a bag to the boy and said it was from the older man he spoke to a couple of days ago.
When he looked in the bag he saw another yellow book just like what he had and thought that’s funny the old man knew he had that book already. So he opened the book and saw a note written inside of the book that said : "I thought you might like an autographed copy". It was signed Zodiac and the Z logo was drawn as well!
The boy thought the old man had to be playing a joke , until he saw a link that was on Zodiackiller.com. That link had pictures of different suspects, when he saw the picture of the man that he saw at Bob’s Big Boy was my suspect, he contacted Tom and asked if I was a waitress there back in the late 80’s? Tom sent it to me through Ed N and I emailed the now young man who was an adult living elsewhere. I asked him about the car the man was driving and he described a tan Ford Taurus of which I had the personal plate ( 3 888) It reminded me of one of the Zodiac ciphers with the 3 -8’s. he also told me about the lazy eye, so I knew he was telling me the truth. I then went to Vallejo to check the schools there, to see if he was actually a student when he said he was, it all checked out. His family was listed in the criss cross directory.

I asked him if he still had that book? He said he has no idea where it could be, that he had moved many times. I am always looking at used book stores for that very book. The boy has lived in Vallejo. Concord, Pittsburg Ca. I am hoping that if I don’t find it, it will be found by someone who knows how important that book is and will give it to a detective working the case. Fingers crossed that the detective recognizes the handwriting and doesn’t toss it in the garbage!

Think the point Holmes meant was that nobody should join Z’s bad thoughts, behaviour etc so to even clearer let him know he is wrong (but without aggression). This is actually why nowadays ‘badly’ behaving people are not tortured but ‘only’ locked away.

Well, for sure there is better ways to say that than being a ‘fan’ of Z. Regardless of that, the Z case itself is worth enough spending his time with. Fan of Z? Nope..but maybe this is the only way to find him..one way or another.

This brings up a new idea, however: Imagine how a stalker would find his victim. These people often do find their ex-wifes etc. and actually (from my external view) they all have one thing in common to do so. They ask friends. "Where is she going, what is her number, who is her employee" etc. is how they enable themselves to follow their victims sometimes even over a distance of 1,000 miles..

Jacob ,I would think that if Zodiac was to use a posting name, it would have something to do with something he liked. I imagine he liked Sherlock Holmes 1942 movie "Secret Weapon" and that was where he got his idea for the three part cipher sent to three newspapers. Pretty good movie you can watch it on You Tube.

A Zodiac like person also participated in the Vallejo Topix Forum as "Vallejo resident", talking about the Zodiac. I kept a copy of that post, others felt that he was the Zodiac as well. Too bad that Topix is no longer there, it was helpful in asking questions about Vallejo back in the 60’s.

It’s not outside the realms of possibility. There are strong suspicions EARONS and BTK were posting on their respective forums shortly before they were arrested. Two other serial killers with huge egos.

There is no indication that Zodiac is dead. He changed his MO and is most likely killing still. Why do people think he is dead? There is no evidence Zodiac has died or been caught for other crimes or stopped killing. He is a killing machine. He is an expert on killing by now. How can they catch a man like this. He is very dangerous and people should respect that idea because if he isn’t dead and comes around again there could be hell to pay.
