He finds me pretty annoying. I shall now set about changing my personality and the tone and subject matter of all future posts to please his Majesty.

I did reply to the PM saying I had been reported for posting too often that I apologise for my transgression but in my defence, I was under the impression this place was a ‘FORUM’ which has topics and threads on which the only purpose they exist is to post your ideas or opinions on. No! Not three straight posts in a row! That is reported as an outrage!

Anyway, if you find me annoying then I can do nothing about that I’m afraid as the issue lies with you toward me. Like I said, you could send reports "To the Owner. Please restrict that user’s ability to post as I have decided that I do not like or appreciate it and seen as God retired this morning and nominated me his successor I demand action!" Then again, you could just choose not to read what I post?

I appreciate such kind compliments, i will assume it was you who put in a complaint about yours truly to the powers that be about my posting too often, clogging up theads by posting two, o maybe even three posts on one thread (which is simply lunacy, i know) a month or so back.

Tell you what you can do Mr Overseas, you can simply choose to ignore any and all posts i subsequently decide to make, seen as you who sits in Judgement have decided that noting i say has any relevance. Let me ask you TheF, what have you come to the table with and contributed to this case that had previously been unknown before you brought it to this site? How many months and/or years have you petitioned the FBI for a never before released and know bit of information which you got and have shared? Without wishing or intending to appear arrogant in any way, i have brought several exclusive’s here and i say this not in great pride or ego, i say it to defend myself against you ridiculous claim of my posts and their usefulness.
Please don’t continue to report my posts and such The Foreigner because all that attention lavished in my PM inbox does no good for my ego.

And please do not refer to me as WC as this is deeply offensive to me and I shall run away and report you for abbreviating me and my online persona to a pair of letters!

Just FYI I have, on a daily basis, been an active Zodiac researcher, and reader of several Zodiac forums, since 2007, but lately I have read more than posting, so the "funny shit" wount really fly

I’ve always thought the entire outfit Z wore at LB was to invoke fear. to most in the Bay Area at that time, if someone had approached them with that gunsight emblem sewn onto his outift, most would have freaked realizing who they were dealing with. I really think that was his intention in wearing the outfit. He had to be really disappointed when neither Cecilia or Bryan reacted to his outfit, but they’d both been out of the area, and into their school studies and had apparently missed the Z saga.

I agree and believe that z thought his infamy was so great that Bryan and Cecelia would recognize him. The surprising and rather pedestrian conversation that ensued between Bryan and himself, judging by z’s responses, seems to have confused z somewhat, almost as if he was unsure what to do at that point. z’s wishing to be recognized is rather puzzling, however, as recognition almost certainly would have caused panic, making z’s work much more difficult and a great deal riskier.

Several interesting points to be looked at here.

Could Z reasonably assume that anyone would immediately recognize him as "The Zodiac" simply by looking at the costume? He wasn’t associated with any costume, so it was just the symbol which could have alerted his victims.

And if he DID fully expect them to recognize him, this is indeed a bit puzzling, strategy wise. As suggested above, the natural reaction would be panic: If the victims made the right connection, they would know that he was about to kill them – not steal their car and head for Mexico.

Furthermore, if it was important to him to be recognized – why didn’t he SAY that he was the Zodiac? Arguably, the fact that he made no attempt to identify himself beyond wearing the symbol strongly indicates that it was NOT important to him.

But why wear the symbol at all, then? Zodiac, as we know him, was all about writing letters – taunting, bragging and imposing his Zodiac persona on a large audience. He didn’t wear a costume at BRS and nothing indicates that he did so at LHR or PH either. The costume was probably a one-off, not an essential part of his "thing", by the looks of it.

My theory has been for some time now that he donned that costume for reasons which had nothing to do with his victims. It was for his own, private benefit. He may have wanted to disguise his face for practical reasons – but that’s different. The elaborate getup wasn’t simply a disguise, that seems obvious.

Depends on how grandiose he was by nature. Could be he thought his victims would recognize the symbol.

A valid point. Perhaps when Bryan and Cecelia failed to recognize the symbol, he decided it was better not to reveal his identity to foster their cooperation. And why bother to mention it to them after they were bound since it was his intention to execute them and they could serve no witness? He knew the fact that he left the message on the car door would be sufficient to id him as the culprit.

But one would then need to ask why, if he intended to murder them, did he don the symbol in the first place. Don’t know. Perhaps he originally wore it for the terror factor, but when he saw that his victims were cooperating, decided against revealing himself. Could also be why he seemed to hem and haw a bit before getting down to business, a type of vacillation not seen in the previous two attacks or the subsequent one.

No mention of Zodiac in the phone call either. It’s just odd.

He took on the Zodiac persona AFTER BRS. Why no mention? He never discusses it later on either. He did it with LHR, BRS and SF. Doesn’t re-hash LB….ever.
