Not Zodiac-like to me. Just another woman murdering creep…so many of them.

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

Zodiac was a woman murdering creep. A serial killer in his early twenties might have been interested in ridiculous costumes, letters to newspapers etc. but then focused his attention purely on murder as he matured. Just a thought.

No old photos of him, but he is believed have been seen with victim Jeannie Smith before her murder in 1978: https://unidentified.wikia.org/wiki/Jeannie_Smith

"Smith, a waitress at the Circus-Circus Hotel, was last seen on October 27, 1978 between 7:30-9:00pm by a co-worker, leaving with a man, who was described as tall (between 5’7" and 5’8"), 170 to 175 pounds, caucasian, wavy sandy blond hair and looked like a construction worker, he was wearing a plaid shirt, faded jeans, a light blue down jacket and a caterpillar construction company baseball cap."

Does match descriptions of Zodiac.
