Odd. I wonder why they associated this with Zodiac?

Does the article indicate who the guy was she was going to meet ? If I were a cop, that’s the Guy I’d wanna talk to.

VW the peoples car. It seems in the US they were a car of choice for killers, and unfortunatly a lot of people who drove them were killed. I have found about 10 associated with death.. All colors gold,red,green, yellow,burnt orange and of course Teds tan one. I wonder if some of these crimes have a link somewhere..This car of course commissioned by the words biggest mass murderer AH.

What I find interesting is that she was shot in the CHEST. SO whoever was there with her, was up close. But it doesn’t have any of the hallmarks of a crime of passion. A shot to the chest- that’s pretty anonymous.
What’s interesting is that this one hasn’t made its way into the canon- even if you don’t think Cheri Jo was a Z victim, you can still say she is somewhat canonical in that there has been ample discussion of the possibilities over the years.
But this one is so anonymous, that it would fit the MO of the earlier crimes- and something could be said for the fact the he figured out that shooting them up close from the front like that would leave too much blood. He could have been learning as he went- which of course, is what happens.

Not everyone who gets shot while sitting in a car is a victim of the Zodiac, but I can see how, in the context of the given time, people would have thought he was still killing. Don’t see it, though. Says 1966. So I guess the association is Cheri Jo…well, she was killed with a short knife and the Zodiac didn’t begin his reign of attacks until December 1968…too bad they never caught the killer.

I remember this incident. We had discussed this previously on one of the message boards. I think we also discussed the possible relationship to the Telegraph Ave incident.

Ross Sullivan’s Brother Tim got married in SF about 17 days after this incident, and we know they have ties to Berkeley,I seem to recall that Tim was possibly living there before moving to Canada,but I am not positive. The tall heavyset man sounds like one might describe Ross.

Think the name of Joseph Naso is connected to her case..also there is a ‘Nolan’ from Albany in Dee’s address book..

One thing I found interesting is that Nolan’s murder was just a few hours before the murder of Valerie Percy. Although they were in different states, there is always that small chance that the two are somehow connected.

Also worth mentioning that Nolan was murdered pretty close to Claremont Golf Course, and just a few blocks from where "JK Fry" lives today. I’m pretty sure he didn’t live there in 1966, but his brother lived in the area.
