RIP. Very sad news.
A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….
He was the most dedicated detective that I ever spoke to about the case. He will be missed.
It was true that he went to the crime scene every year , until some years back I was told that the time to see him there was about 2:30 pm. So I went there at that time a few years in a row, didn’t see him.
He kept his home in SF, but also had one in Boulder Creek Ca. I am telling myself that he is up in Heaven with another SFPD detective that I have much respect for,named Mike Maloney. Hopefully with them up there ,they will point us in the correct direction to solve this case!
Sorry I’m late with my post. This is sad indeed to hear. Dave put his heart and soul into this case. RIP
