Not sure that guy is KQ. The hairline is way more receding, plus he looks older. KQ did like to wear sunglasses, though…interesting find.

The woman with him can be identified as a younger Kay Qvale (his wife).

Most of the drivers in the picture can be identified as racing for the Qvale team.

I would bet it is him…

Mike Rodelli found a Qvale Motors factory in Modena, Italy; the Zodiac symbol features prominently on the front of the building. It can be found as exhibit 13 in his book, I have searched online but can’t find any publicly available version of the picture. It’s a shame the text around the circle is not readable, after all it could be a completely unrelated logo, but interesting to see that there is a second instance where he is linked to this symbol.

A picture of the whole front of the building showing the symbol is in his autobiography. So it is not an "unrelated" symbol. I don’t play games with evidence like, oh, Grmary Stewart.

Sorry Mike, reading that back it sounds worse than how I meant it. I was not questioning your provenance, merely that there is a chance is a coincidental similarity.

I accept your apology. I’m a little touchy about these things because my credibility and motors have a question for 20 years and maybe I’m a little bit sensitive about it.

To add a little bit more to this story when I met kabali face-to-face in 2006 I asked him about that symbol and he said that I was only seeing what I wanted to see that the symbol was actually key which was on the building because her pin locksmith before him. I want that’s true there’s also an article from 1999 and neither Road and sport or something like that where he’s interviewed and he’s quoted as saying that there is pride in his voice as he talks about how he is going to convert the Circle on the front of the building into a giant Q. So is proof and his own words that shows that what he told me was not true. Intentionally change that symbol to put a q around the giant Cross Circle but try to convince me I was seeing things when I brought it up to him.
