Looked like an entirely different man in the end. He sure changed his ways…or so it would appear. Too bad he didn’t cop up to what really happened with Allen. If it IS true and Allen did tell him he was Zodiac back in ’69…Ralph would be a total piece of sheet for not coming forward until he needed something to help getting his sorry ass out of jail 20 years later. I guess he lied in either scenario.

Allen was a piece of garbage, the lowest of the low, so to Spinelli and Don Cheney, Allen was expendable. Cheney wanted him busted for comments Allen made about his daughter, and Spinelli likely thought Allen was better off in prison as the Zodiac. And no one knows if Spinelli and Cheney believed Allen to be killer, anyway, regardless of whether or not Allen claimed a role in the Zodiac murders. Spinelli may have also heard his tale from Cheney, or Allen may have actually claimed, falsely, to be the Zodiac.
