I’d really like to see this guy get caught. If my hunch and your hunch is right he’s killed a whole heck of a lot of people. Justice must be done.
My hunch was that he was young in his early 20s to about 25 and very reclusive. Probably spent most of his time reading and writing and fantasizing about being famous. He was probably made fun of in school and bad with the ladies. It’s very possible that he was a virgin at the time of the murders. I believe he knew he was insane and instead of seeking help he embraced it instead because he had finally found something that put him in control something he probably never had before. Because he knew what he was doing was wrong I’d imagine he’d be nervous, shaking and sweating during his murders but afterwards he’d feel powerful and proud that he actually went through with it. This would lead to a sense of confidence and would ultimately lead to the phone calls and letters and the attention that he so desired.
Just my theory on the guy. I’m still far behind most of you in my information on this man so I’m probably wrong lol. This site has a wealth of information and I’m happy that I did find it.

So, what happened to all that "I think my grand father was the Zodiac" stuff?

Sandy – talking of DNA evidence, did you ever get that Lake Berryessa costume from your ex for testing? Can’t remember seeing any follow ups on this.

My ex has not found my boxes yet! I am still waiting for the costume, but I do have other things that I am very sure pertain to the Lake B crime. The blood on the dictionary , I believe was put there by the killer on purpose , to prove it came from that crime. The wrist watch that was left with the costume, I believe was Cecelia’s? That should still have her DNA on it and inside the watch case, which I have not opened , will show the date the watch was made. I believe I have enough evidence without the costume to be tested. I worry about losing what I have left when it is sent to a lab. The necklace I had with the name Cecelia on it , was lost by my San Francisco PI ,who promised he would be very careful with it. My ex lives where it gets extremely hot in the summer, so I am losing hope that even if he finds it now, the DNA won’t be any good from all that heat!

Sandy, Terry Poyser will take your lab work seriously. I have communicated with him about DNA. I don’t know what labs you are looking at, but the lab I use for my work as a lawyer routinely turns around twsting in about a week. It’s not as difficult a process as people tend to think.

Thanks, can you PM me with the name of the lab that you use and the average cost? Terry P is still out on leave as far as I know? I went to a VPD get together about 6 weeks ago at Blue Rock Springs, was told Terry P was still out on leave from his two operations. I sent him a get well card and gave him my phone number again. He called me about 3 yrs ago saying he was interested in talking to me when he had time. I have the name of someone else at VPD to talk to, but really would prefer to talk to Terry P. , before he retires! I wonder if he still reads this site?

Anyone even loosely connected to this case should upload their DNA to Gedmatch and allow LE to utilise it.

23andme is pretty good, It’s what i used, $99usd results within weeks and easy to transfer to Gedmatch.

Yes, dyslexia is probably my first undiagnosed language.

If there was a box, don’t you think he would have opened it by now?

I sent mine in last year and tell people all the time, to please enter theirs. It is so important to do that and very helpful in catching the evil people. Some say that is an invasion of their privacy???? I could care less who knows what my DNA shows!

Not sure what you mean.
Step one: swab.
Step two: put in tube.
Step three: put in genetic analyzer.
Step four: print the report.

There’s a little more to it than that, but it can be done in one day.

You’d think so, unless we were being trolled.

Swab the envelope flaps, you’re saying – that’s all there is to it? Genetic analyzer?

What’s the scoop on the status of the case?

I think we are talking about two different things here about DNA? One being the DNA that is our own to send in to Ged Match and the other being the evidence that I have that needs to be tested in a lab.

To answer the question about the DNA in the case, from what I have read, they are running another DNA test from VPD. Perhaps to be sure it matches the first one? It doesn’t hurt to be 100 percent positive, that they have found the correct person!

That’s good clarification Sandy.

What I’m wondering is if the poster claims to have consulted with Detective Poyser on DNA, what’s new in the investigation?

Do you have confirmation that they have a specific individual they are looking at with this current analysis? That would be very interesting!
