Hi-

I was the low tech older guy on a cell phone on speaker, LOL. And no, I am not Zode. I originally wanted to talk about Bates, but Michelle and I started talking about profiling the other day and she asked me to do that.

You sounded great, Mike R. and I like your views on profiling. See what great researchers you hang out with, as we all knew that had to be you!
Kudos to both Mikes!

You did a good job too Mike! Was a little hard to hear at times cause of the connection. To bad they couldn’t give you and Morf a half hour each.

Hi Zam-

Thanks. BTW, I did not mention one word (that I know of, anyway) about my suspect. I was only discussing the power-assertive profile. It may have seemed I was speaking about my suspect because he fits Mr. Walter’s profile. I got especially tongue tied in trying to explain how a power-assertive might have an alternate source of power in his life because I almost used some facts about my suspect to illustrate that point…before I caught myself.

Mike R you also made some great points about Graysmith’s opinion of Zodiac being a sadistic killer which I also do not believe to be true. Good job!

I thought that was you Mike. Michelle asked me about you the other day. I think she steered us both into the direction that would cover the most amount of ground. I like their show, it seemed to run pretty smoothly, and they are both good hosts. I personally have no idea how Michelle researches all of those different cases, and find the time to do it. I only have time for this one, and occassionally read up on some others.

Hi-

Yeah. I wish I had more time to discuss what a sadist is. A sadist spend lots of time with his victims and he enjoys inflicting pain on them. The only Z attack that even resembles a sadistic attack because of the bondage is LB. But Z did not spend a lot of time with his vics torturing them, etc., after he tied them up. He stabbed them and walked away. And the other three crimes were not sadistic at all and provide a lot of evidence that z was not a sadist, nor was he a sexual killer.

Z WROTE about torturing people but he never actually did torture anyone. That is why Mr. Walter does his profiling by what happens at the crime scene, not based on the letters, which can be misleading.

BTW. New Jersey rules! Both callers were from the Garden State, LOL.

Well Mike R…you are the one I actually got to listen to. You did a fine job. It was wonderful listening in…wish they gave you more time. I look forward to getting to listen to the show in it’s entirety and hearing what Morf had to say as well.

Dog gone it! I tried twice and had no trouble finding the station but apparently my timing was wrong on adjusting Pacific to Central time zone. I gave up and went to bed. I’ll anxiously await the link to the replay since it will be on everybody’s time. :)

When in doubt, don’t.
