The handwriting on that police report looks familiar……..
Wow…yes it does!
I’m beginning to believe everyone back in those days had a crew cut, glasses and wrote with the same handwriting style

He could be connected to the disappearance Cynthia Lynn Sumpter missing from San Jose on April 27, 1974. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showth … April-1974

I’m also amazed by the resemblance. I’ve seen this style in several examples now, such as in Rev. Edward Fliger’s printing in the Gary Stewart debacle. I think this shows that a suspect’s printing will be a crucial element but not the crucial element in determining viability. Nevertheless, I’d sure be interested in knowing more about the writer of that police report!

I was at my mom’s over the weekend and she dug out old picture books to show my girlfriend (trying to embarrass me by showing her my mullet from junior high!), and I saw pictures of my grandfather and he looked closer to the Stine sketch than any suspect I have seen. He looked identical, it’s insane.

I would have to say that I think it is because handwriting was more focused on back in the day. Just like proper ways to speak. Not so much anymore, so it could be that most of the country was taught to write the letters in the same manner based on school educational standards and guidelines. While there are going to be obvious nuances to each persons handwriting, if they were taught to write the same way, then it is more likely their handwriting will look VERY similar to others.
