Yep that is what the guy said, he wants notoriety like the Zodiac killer. Sounds like he may have come from Cailf.? Because that is where most of the attention is on the Z man.
Funny I was paid to go to Texas a few yrs ago to look at a Z suspect there. I was able to prove that the suspect was in Memphis TN at the time of the first 3 crimes.

When I look at what all is going on, with all the political strife in the country right now, it occurs to me that while California, with hollywood celebrities and "sanctuary cities," seems to be the primary bastion of liberalism, Texas has historically been pretty conservative. In fact, Texas’ state flag and motto, "The Lone Star State," dates back to the days when Texas was fiercely independent.

So, if someone was going to name a liberal state they would likely name California, and perhaps the most prominent conservative (states’ rights) would be Texas.

Anyway, if Sandy is correct, a guy moving from California to Texas to essentially wage war could have chosen Texas for a reason political.

On the other hand, Austin might be the most liberal spot in otherwise conservative Texas, so if this nut is a native Texan, perhaps his motivation is still political, but aimed at a liberal city. This, to me, might be more likely.

The guy probably chose Z over the Unabomber, because Z was never caught.

I am doing this simply because I want watch the world to burn. It’s not race-related like the media has speculated. I also enjoy laughing at the massive police presence that just simply cannot find or deanonymize me. I’m not chacing anything by posting on Reddit. If the police really wanted to they could find me; but I’m also too smart to not let it go too far. Killing people is something I have thought about and gone into a long self-dialogue with myself about – in this instance I would really rather watch the destruction of something blowing up than killing people. If I wanted to simply kill people I’d just beome a serial killer. As for bigger avenues for destruction and injury, I don’t think there really are any unless I wanted to shoot up a school or a shopping mall (which I don’t). I once read a great wealth of books – my favorite authors have been John Grisham and Tom Clancy. I have read all of their books. I won’t say where or how, but there was a small time in my life where all I had were books and literature. My favorite book is "The Chamber" by Grisham. Currently I am reading the Bible. (No, I really am.) I’ve never really looked into much Stephen King but if I find the time, I will.

I haven’t read that much Grisham but I’ll check that book out. Have you read any other religious texts? I love Stephen King, you might enjoy the first book in that series (Mr Mercedes). The package was being shipped closely to the other bombings – and may have been on its way to a very prolific radio talk show host who happens to live in Austin, albeit close to the other bombings.
I did not intended for the package to detonate at the FedEx facility. It must have been tripped by being thrown on a truck haphazardly or boucing on a conveyor belt.
The tripwire was basic fishing line and was anchored with a simple wooden dowel approximately two or three inches off of the ground – something I could easily and quickly set up and escape from without killing myself. I’m surprised the police aren’t walking to streets spraying silly string everywhere looking for more tripwires.
