Diablo Valley Collage is the same collage where possible Zodiac victim Patricia King was murdered on March 3 1970. There was construction going on there at the time of her murder. So many Zodiac crime scenes involved construction. I think this writing looks very much like the Zodiac’s writing. Of course the people who have suspects that have died won’t give this threat any thought that it could be from the Zodiac. There has been a lot of news this past week about the Zodiac and the threat at Lake Herman rd on the 50th anniversary. I was on NBC Bay Area news Tuesday night , talking about the threat. I received three phone calls the next day like the calls I use to get a few yrs ago. That coincidentally was the same day as the threat at Diablo Collage. I heard on the news about the threat, but didn’t see the note until Zamantha sent me the note. The word imbecile is not a word used by todays collage students, it is from my generation. If any of you think that it looks very different, it is on a wall, so it wouldn’t be a perfect match to writing on paper.

How many young people do you know who use the word imbecile? That is a old word used by old people. Zodiac stuck his neck out many times, he is not afraid of doing that.

It could be a very good copy cat , but I am not ready to discount it as such just yet.

This has nothing to do with the threat , but it is a article about Zodiac written by Kevin Fagan this morning. The hard copy will be in this Sunday’s paper for those of you who like to collect Z articles.

Very strange that my post is just before your post yet it shows a much later time? How can that happen? I always wondered why the time was always different. It has to be eastern time because Morf is on the east coast. We both posted the same article about the same time 7:50 am?

To add to this story, I was just informed by one of my Z friends from Tom’s site ,that Richard Grinell had posted about the Patricia King murder at that collage the day before the note was found at the collage. I just looked at his thread and it is dated 12-12-18 the day I received the odd calls and the day I thought the Z like note was found?
I just sent Richard a email asking him what time on the 12th did he start that thread? Could this mean that the perp read Richards thread and then went to the collage to write that note?

Thanks, Zamantha, for posting this but I don’t think it should be in the "NON-Zodiac Crimes" section. The handwriting and wording appear similar to Zodiac, and it could very well be from him. What troubles me is there are a lot of people who are certain the Zodiac is dead with zero hard evidence to base it on. It would be a shame if an opportunity to catch the man presents itself but slips away because of people’s unfounded biases.

Lots of copy cat & fake letters over the years. So, unless we have a lot more proof, the Non Zodiac Crime thread, is the best spot for it. I agree tho- it’s strangely interesting…

Richard G emailed me this morning and said he has been working on cold cases that haven’t been looked at in a while,Patricia King is one of those. He said that he is disheartened by the idea that the person who made the threat at the collage, could have gotten the idea from his article. He told me that he put the article up at about 3am Calif. time on the 12th. He also mentioned that he used the word "unlucky"in his article , because of the few minutes it took Patricia to take her last walk from the Gym to her car. Richard does a wonderful job with everything that he writes. Too bad that has some of the worse trolls on his site I have ever seen unfortunately. They tried to get on Tom’s site, but were booted off asap!

I was wrong about the date of the NBC Bay Area News , it was shown on Monday the 10th not Tuesday the 11th. The calls I received were for sure on the 12th , the same day as the collage threat.

There was a counselor murdered at DVC in the late seventies. When someone walked into the counseling building wearing a clown mask and into the counselor’s oficce and shot them, and then ran off. The counselor’s building was in the center of campus, and I think it was on a Friday when there wasn’t as many of students on campus.
