The Frankford Pa Slasher is thought to have brutally murdered 9 women between 8/85 and 9/90
A Lenard Christopher was convicted of the 2nd to last murder of Carol Dowd despite little evidence and did not match a description of the suspect . And the last murder occured while he was in custody. He was never charged in the other murders which remain unsolved .
They know who the slasher was. The guy died before they could charge him, they have enough evidence to consider the case solved including DNA that proves the deceased man is the murderer.

what was the suspect ( really only POI )description ? the articles I searched mentioned only a heavier balding older white male 50’s so i would not rule out Z . is there a article on your guy ?
It wasn’t from an article. It was from the radio show "The Crime Guy" that airs in Philadelphia. It’s hosted by CBS3 police Reporter Walt Hunter. Some time last year some one called in and asked about the slasher. The next weeks show he mentioned that he was going to write up a report on the guy, but I don’t think he ever did.
Frankford slasher also had a round face, glasses and a slight limp. Kinda weird
