I watched a pretty good 2 part mini series about Gary Ridgeway the Green River Killer, called "capturing the green river killer". I was pretty familiar with the case, but watching the movie made me aware of a couple things that I was not aware of before. For instance, although I knew police questioned him early on in the case, I did not know that he took and passed a lie detector test.

It was a real shame that they couldn’t nail the guy early on, who knows how many lives would have been saved. He went almost 20 years after being initially questioned if I remember correctly. Also, the FBI said he didn’t fit the profile since he was married and held a steady job. Luckily, good police work, and dedication going back looking at old suspects helped nail him. The police even talked to Ted Bundy in prison who gave his ideas and opinions to police, some of which turned out to be right.

All in all, despite being a lifetime TV movie, it was a pretty good movie, and made me wonder if zodiac may have been questioned early on yet slipped thru the cracks. Personally, I think it’s possible
