I have a couple of observations but think I would like to ask a question or two first.

1. Do you already have a map that outlines where the bodies have been found and, if so, can you share this with us? Personally, I would like to see them numbered and in something separate, a description that shows date and what occurred.

2. This will sound strange, but, were the bodies found anywhere near one of the following areas:

A. Bukit Batik
B. Tanglin
C. Seletar – Sengkang

A good idea for such cases is to look where all these mistreatments had happened, drawing sort of a star with equal angles. Mostly the perpetrator lives very close to the center of these crimes. If one of the two guys lives in that area, I’d say the police had caught him already.

The neighbourhood watch folks DID map out the incidents, yes, but I don’t have access to their work, unfortunately.

They all happened in or around Yishun. None of the places you mention suffered from cat killings.

I think the inference here is that the killings aren’t the work of one or even two or three guys.

The fact that they continued for a while even after the second arrest speaks for itself.

It’s almost certainly multiple unrelated killers at work, probably copycats (pardon the pun) sparked off by the first incident, which was quite heavily publicised on social media and the like.

There was no evidence linking either of the two arrestees to any other cases; from the details I’m privy to, I’m unsure if the first perp ever struck again, and I don’t think the uncaught suspect is him.

The at-large youth is a high school dropout and doesn’t strike me or others as being verbose enough to have penned the taunting missive.
