Investigators are going over 40,000 pages of cell phone calls in the area of Portugal the day Madeleine Mccann was kidnapped.

As much as I would like to be proven wrong, I feel people are naive to think that Madeleine is anything but long dead. Cases like this, the victim is usually deceased within the first three hours of being abducted. Hopefully they’ll at least find the one responsible and bring them to justice.

Agreed.

There is a chance she is alive and the victim of sexual predators…

It’s a little worrying that it’s taken this long for them to examine phone records. Well, more than a little.

I did a lot of reading on this case a year or so ago and there is definitely something dodgy going on with the mobile phones of the McCanns and their friends, its ridiculous if only now these records are being looked at. Some rather diligent people over at websleuths have done marvelous work timelining the day leading up to the disappearance and so much of the McCanns + their friends stories have holes in them that it really makes them look bad. Couple that with the fact that they already know Kate and Gerry deleted a string of text messages between themselves that occurred exactly the time Madeleine supposedly went missing and you have yourself a really good reason to suspect the parents of being less than innocent.
The fact alone (which as far as I know the McCanns have never publicly commented on) that they deleted some of their text messages would surely have prompted the police to do more on this front a long time ago, but what do I know.
If anyone enjoys unsolved crime then I recommend a look at this case, it’s got all the right ingredients (whilst of course missing the vital one of the safe return of a little girl.)

Thanks Vic, interesting.
You either believe that the McCanns are guilty of murdering their daughter Madeleine, and successfully covering it up by hiding her body immediately after the event (retreiving it later to more diligently conceal it), or you believe they’re innocent, and want to stop anything which might tend to detract from the process of searching for her, or discovering the truth, by legal means.
I tend to believe the latter, personally.
And that their poor parenting skills let their daughter down badly…

Her mother avoiding to answer 48 questions is a bit suspicious.

The mother selectively answering 49 questions regarding the disappearance of her daughter seems more suspect than just another someone seen near the apartment that night.

The timeline and accepted version of events surrounding Madeleine McCann’s disappearance have "significantly changed", British police say.

Semi-ironic they weren’t mentioned in the documentary. I bet this evidence exculpates the parents and friends?
