No. It’s an intentionally ironic vulgarization of the female anatomy. I assume that you are not at all familiar with Riot Grrl? It was a musical style/culture that Hole was a part of which combined the aesthetic of Punk, hence the vulgarity, with Feminist politics, in particular a subversion of female sexual objectification.

..which is why those themes are also common in Nirvana songs. Everything about Kurt Cobain he got from Courtney Love. The fact that people love him and hate her for the same exact things is pure sexism, including their mental illness and substance addiction which you find worthy of such mockery.

Also Hole’s most popular album was cowritten by Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins, but he seems to not receive the credit, or shame for it, depending on your POV.

Another "fun" fact, Courtney Love had in the past called out Harvey Weinstein for being a rapist, but no one listens to anything she says.

I am very familiar with that scene… Love some of those bands, (huge L7 and Lunachicks fan!), but not Hole.

I hate Courtney Love. She is a rotten person. I never liked Cobain either. He is the most over rated musician of all time. He could barely play guitar and definitely could not sing. I do love Dave Grohl, though. Great musician and even better person. But Nirvana got lucky. They wrote catchy songs and struck at the perfect time.

Hole’s Live Through This is as good as anything Nirvana recorded. Better, even.

Too bad Geffen refused I Hate Myself and I Want to Die. It’s rather ironic that just 5 years later, Mike Patton couldn’t find a record label to issue Fantomas Amenazza al Mundo, founded Ipecac to release that album and thus reinforced his status as a musical genius. If Cobain hadn’t been so high on heroin, he could have done just that: found his own label to produce music outside of Nirvana and screw the music industry, and be acclaimed as a hero by his fanbase and beyond for that.

Very good point. Although Patton is just a total badass and is still probably not quite famous. Not as famous as someone with his talents should be anyways. And I imagine he is fine with that. Hail Mr. Bungle!!

I’m fine with that, too! ^^ I wouldn’t like people to be all over him and see Fantômas/Mr. Bungle/Tomahawk t-shirts everywhere :/ Anyway his bands and his music in general are too bizarre for him to have the kind of success Cobain had.
I remember attending the only Fantômas Melvins Big Band gig ever performed in Europe, during Le Printemps de Bourges music festival in 2006. TFMBB was the last group to perform that night, the medium-sized venue was full, and after like 5 minutes of Patton and Buzz whistling a cow-boy tune, then starting to play Fantômas’ "ultimate metal", two thirds of the audience just left with a strange look on their faces, and most of the remaining persons watched in awe, unable to believe their eyes and ears what they were seeing and hearing :D That shows how much Patton cares about being a rock’n’roll star or whatever. Cobain couldn’t deal with success and the media attention. He should have just "disappeared" for a few years, fight his demons if possible, then come back with something different, musically speaking. He once said he could have been a kind of Johnny Cash, growing old. Too bad he never grew old :(
