The man wasn’t Z, but he did live in Paradise and he committed murders the first was his wife in 1968, along with a hit and run and the the two he was arrested for had a connection with water.

Not sure if we can rule him out as Z..Mary Lou had disappeared around the same time (3 months before Jensen/Faraday homicide) as well as from the same (or nearby) area (Sacramento). He had slit throats of his victims (e.g. CJB if you like), shot them into their heads (as happened to Faraday), gave them the chance to run away and shot them (most likely similar to modus operandi Jensen), had ties to ‘Paradice’, used ropes etc..

Don’t want to go as far as to say that’s him but wouldn’t rule him out either..

I was reading about this a few days ago and a few of the things that struck me were that he killed his wife pretty much a year to the day that the LB attack occurred, he later hogtied another couple and told them he just wanted their money but then suddenly murdered them.

He also spent a lot of time boating around Mexico, etc which reminded me of Darlene some years before and the scary bloke who apparently spent time in Mexico where he’d allegedly killed people.

Has anyone been able to find a picture of the guy and a description of his size and coloring?

An artist’s impression is about the most I can find at the moment:

He wears glasses and is white so I suppose we can’t rule him out at this stage!

Thanks! It’s weird that there are no pictures of him. I did some snooping around and found that Boston and his wife had three children. Besides the two sons there was an older daughter. I also found that the son Vince made a post at Ancestry .com looking for information about his mom a little more than 10 years ago. No one answered his post.

It’s interesting that until this year when new information came to light, Mary Lou Boston was just classed as missing. However, her son pretty much confirms online over a decade ago that his mum was born in 1945 and died in 1968. Did he know about this all along?

Also, not sure of it is the right guy but this bloke does look exactly like the courtroom sketch of Boston so it could be our guy:

I suppose that Vince could have assumed that his mother had died in 1968 when she went missing but I agree it’s strange that he would have written that in a forum post that sounds so definite 10 years ago. I’m sure there is a lot we don’t know. Vince could have gone to LE years ago with his suspicions but without corroboration there probably wasn’t anything that LE could do about it. And still to this day, Boston has not been charged with Mary Lou’s death, only suspected.

I think that probably is Boston’s FB page. When I did some searches on him at Ancestry and a couple of other places, it did show that he used his middle name as his first name. Also, his daughter Vicki is one of his FB friends. Clicking on her shows that Vince is one of her FB friends.

Between all the facial hair, the sunglasses and the hat it’s hard to imagine what Boston would have looked like back in the 60s. It’s also hard to judge his size. But it is a great find Quagmire, Thanks!

Would it be possible for someone who does the Facebook thing to contact Vince and see if he has a pic of his father from around 1970? Also maybe writing samples. And, since they did some serious boating, I’m wondering if they visited the Bay Area a lot… Maybe had a boat moored there.

Also any info that could be relevant, like whether he owned multiple handguns, played with codes, what kind/color cars he drove, etc. And of course, what was going on with the family travel-wise during the time frame we’re interested in.

There are several things about this guy that are interesting. I know it’s hard to tell, but the courtroom sketch looks, to me, similar to the PH sketch especially around the forehead and eyes.
