Just a highlight of this Washington Post 12/08/2014 story about this ongoing case.

Patricia Welch, 65, accused of lying to grand jury in Lyon sisters case.

The woman charged late Friday, Patricia Jean Welch, is the wife of Richard Allen Welch, 69, whom police earlier labeled a “person of interest” in the case. Patricia and Richard Welch live in Hyattsville, Md. Richard Welch is the uncle of Lloyd Lee Welch, 57, another “person of interest” in the case, according to police.

Update on the case — Lloyd Welch has admitted to leaving the mall with both girls the day they were last seen.

Judging by what I have read I would think they have enough to nail him. Its amazing. This case is not far off in length from that of the Zodiac. Just goes to show that cold cases this old are possible to crack.
