in December, 1963, two Bay area youths robbed a couple at gun point with a .22 rifle, they claimed they had killed 3 people. Wonder if one could be the mysterious & elusive ‘Sandy’, who was supposedly from the SF bay area

Hello,
The next day I met with two Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Detectives. They were very open and listened carefully while making notes. One knew nothing about Bobby and Linda’s murder’s and the other, a Sgt., knew the basics. They have a Lt. who works the cold cases (they have several significant ones) and he was not there that day. I remember talking with him in the past. I gave them the details of the case and told them of the documentary I made and that it is in their cold case files. The detective told me he would look at the case and watch the documentary. He said it was always good to have another set of eyes look at an old case. The Sheriff was not in that day. They said they would give the Lt. my name and e-mail address (he already had that information) and he might contact me. I had to leave California before he would be back in the office to return to Tennessee. It was a pleasant conversation. They were most respectful to me as another law enforcement officer. The Sgt. said he could see no reason to release any files on an open, unsolved case no matter how old it was. They never give up on solving a case. I fully understand that view point because I work that side of cases. I had hoped to speak with the Lt. to discussed my point of view. I have not heard from him as if this date. I will not give their names. They are very well trained and professional law enforcement officers with heavy case loads. I respect them for the work they do. I asked them about the letter I sent the Sheriff last year and the Sgt. had not seen it. He suggested the Sheriff likely passed it on to the cold case detective. We will keep trying.
