Amazing Video Paul!

Lots of similarities, from just one little poor quality sample of Sullivan’s writing. Just another little piece of the puzzle. Imagine if we had more good quality samples of his writing.

when i recently saw Ross’ S.S. application for the first time,
my initial reaction was to laugh out loud……….because,
i immediately thought, "case solved!" i will go out on a limb here
and say that if Mr. Morrill was alive today, he would say the S.S.
application matched the desk poem, the Bates letters and the
Zodiac letters. what is interesting, is all this time we believed
Zodiac was ambidextrous or tried to disguise his handwriting.
looking at the application, it appears he wrote in his normal hand.
so, come on you nay-sayers and berate me. i’m sticking to my guns!

We have to tread carefully here. We have access to only one poor sample of Ross’s writing, and I agree, the similarities are obvious. We need more samples of his writing. Clearer samples of his writing. I’m not sure how to go about getting more. Some people think that Zodiac used disguised writing, or his off hand, but for a Guy like Ross, lost and alone in the world, who would notice his writing and know it to be his?

exactly! and, he was to some degree, mentally ill. more samples
would be nice, but what are they going to prove. you have the handwriting,
the librarians’s letter, Mr. Katz’s assertions, and the remarkable
similarity to the Stine description. now you need DNA or finger prints
and how are you going to get that? without LE getting involved, where
do you really hope to go from here. and, he’s dead nearly forty years.
i think all we can do now is satisfy ourselves. my hat is off to you, Morf.
you’ve solved this case for me.

Bitterbeat, all that stuff is good. But it’s circumstantial. To actually solve the case, where police hold a press conference and say ‘case closed’ there needs to be print or DNA evidence. His Brother could supply the DNA but he won’t do that. His prints may be on file but they may be lost in the years since he died. I know for a fact he was NOT in Vallejo’s files, but for me, if I can prove to myself he was in SF Bay Area closer to Vallejo during the Z murders, it will be case closed for me.

I would challenge the skeptics or Ross being Zodiac, that will undoubtedly say "you can make a video of almost any Z suspect’s prints and get matches as in this video" to do just that, make a video like this and demonstrate that you can get the same similarities.

Not sure what you are saying here morf. There has been POI after POI that shows similarities of Zodiac. Manalli’s thread for one goes into great depth about this. What about Ted K? One of the closest there is.

If one takes a mish-mash of many "Zodiac" letters, we are bound to have a few similarities. We are basically all taught the same way to print.

agreed, and it’s evidence that you put together. i didn’t. interestingly enough,
over 70 per cent of the murder cases in this country are decided by circumstantial
evidence. there are convictions made all the time from evidence like this. did you
ever watch Dateline or 48 Hours? if it’s Ross, there is never going to be a trial however.
and without the involvement of LE, you, most likely, will never have DNA or finger prints.
i believe the circumstantial evidence in the 90’s may have been strong enough to
convict ALA. even in the 2007 movie, he is still the prime suspect. [after DNA, handwriting
and fingerprints excluded him] "i’m not the damn Zodiac." :) at this point in time, your
best hope is to find someone credible that knew Ross well after his move to Northern
California. but even without it. if the Zodiac killed CJB, then you’ve got your man.
the handwriting, the librarian ‘s letter and some peripheral testimony pretty much wraps
it up. the real question that begs to be asked, ‘how can the Riverside PD ignore Ross
as the prime suspect? that’s when i get frustrated! i began college at a local CC in
the fall of 1966, just like CJB. because of that alone, i feel a certain connection to
her case. as i stated earlier, i believe we have given Zodiac too much credit. he was
luckier than he was smart. looking forward, if you can get access to the Peterson file,
perhaps you will get the evidence that will satisfy you. just don’t expect it to convince
a lot of other folks. they won’t believe it, even if you get DNA evidence. i think the
problem you have, is you’re trying to make those people happy. i wouldn’t waste my time.

How many of them are tied to RCC? How many of them look identical to the sketch?? Let’s look at Ross as a whole. For somebody that does not believe Z wrote the Riverside stuff, this is a dead issue. For those of us that believe the experts, this is a very real issue, and a valuable path to follow for research.

With Manalli, we had tons of writing to work with to spot things that matched and things that didn’t. Just using this poor quality single sample, we are spotting multiple things that are close or similar to Z’s writing. Imagine if we had a lot to work with, letter K, letter F,etc

Well thanks, but I didn’t get all of this info on Ross or even bring him to public attention. I think that Vallejo Times Herald Reporter Dave Peterson is to thank, as well as people like Joann Bailey the RCc Librarian, and Gerald Katz who supplied most of what we confirmed with Ross.

The letters the numbers don’t have to match up for me. I feel Zodiac was able to write differently when he was doing this thing. So, you can have the perfect POI, and not the perfect match. But, it is interesting to compare, just in case he slipped up.
