I am not sure about the mental health aspect. It seems to be too speculative in my opinion. But one thing is certain: Ross was too big. The Zodiac was described as being between 5’8 to 5’10, and Ross was 6’2 to 6’3. So, he couldn’t have been the Zodiac. We have to follow the evidence. If people can ignore the eyewitness descriptions and still believe Ross was the Zodiac, they are not following the evidence.

You know this is a good point in general. You would expect the person who killed CJB to do it again and again and again.

Another ‘meta’ item to consider is that typically when a criminal suspect is indeed guilty, the general body / quality of incriminating evidence tends to increase over the time the person is suspected / investigated. Good evidence that made him attractive as a suspect should not weaken.
When the evidence against a suspect instead tends to become weak, inaccurate or irrelevant over time, (as it certainly has for Sullivan), it is a good sign he is not the perpetrator. And it has been 55 years.
