I, too, am trying to reconcile this whole situation. The last name of Sullivan is common, Timothy has been a common name for eons as it’s a biblical name. Bonnie is less common but it was fairly common for women in her age group. I think what I will do on Tuesday is send for the 1969 marriage certificate for Bonnie L Bartlett and see if she is the correct one. I don’t see any other options to be positive about this.

But Dannell had confirmed that they split up very early on in their relationship, so it’s likely her. She said they married because she was pregnant.

Jeff, I wish I could say that "likely" satisfies my need to know, but it doesn’t at this point! If Bonnie was pregnant when she and Tim were married, where was the baby born? I cannot find a birth record for a child with the last name of Sullivan and mother’s maiden name of Bartlett born in California at any time. I have the international version of Ancestry so I can look up Canadian births, deaths etc. but I cannot find that they had a child there, nor can I find that Tim died there. I was kind of hoping with finding Tim’s birthdate it would help in finding where and when he died but it hasn’t helped. Getting confirmed information on the Sullivan’s is spotty at best and it’s terribly frustrating as we all know!

When I first contacted Ross’ brother Jon, I only mentioned Cheri Jo and the time of her death. Jon said Timothy was either in Canada, or about to go then. For what it’s worth…

Isn’t it possible that he left for Canada before the actual "lottery" was introduced? Relating to what Tahoe says above, it doesn’t seem inconceivable that he could have left for Canada in, say, 1967 in order to avoid getting drafted (or in order to dodge actual service, having already been drafted).

I mean, people were drafted on a pretty significant scale even before the "lottery", weren’t they?

In short, he could have had several stints in Canada: Initially left around ’67, returned a couple of years later, then moved back north at some some point after 1969 – and then came back again around the time when he made the Zodiac comment to his friend (Katz). Isn’t that possible?

Another thing which strikes me is that the involved parties were hippies (described as such). Perhaps he wasn’t formally married to the woman in question. Maybe it was a hippie wedding, so to speak (of which there would be no record for Seagull to find).

Birth year matches the one from the marriage record (1946), and "possible relatives" includes "Bonnie Glover". And Hercules CA is also in Contra Costa county.

I don’t think the one that got married in 1969 is ‘our’ Bonnie. Our Bonnie, when she was married To Tim in October,1966 Our Bonnie was 18,she had turned 18 just a month earlier. The Bonnie that got married in June 1969, was 22 at the time. The years simply do not add up.

Update: The mother is Lillian Mary Bartlett,she is deceased, but would be 102 yrs old. She died in 1999

Just talked to Katz. He says that Timothy didn’t move to Canada until end of 1969. So whoever said it was likely due to his draft lottery number was correct. He also said that Timothy did live in San Francisco until then and vaguely remembers him living near Haight Ashbury.

So i’m thinking that address we have is of Tim’s. This brings up a number of interesting scenarios involving Ross and San Francisco in the summer of 1969.

BTW, just as a point of fact:

The Tim Sullivan under consideration lived at 25 Baker St. That address is only about a block away from Darlene Ferrin’s ex husband Jim Phillips, who lived at 973 Haight St (according to the Dave Peterson letter to Toschi: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/dc … 13ccd36d37)
