Hello All,
I am new to the site but wanted to first Thank everyone who has contributed to sharing information.
Because I am new to the site- I might be missing where I could find an answer to my following question but was
hoping someone might be able to point me in a direction that would be helpful.
I am researching Ted Kaczynski and wondering about information regarding the dates and postmarked locations of where he might have mailed correspondence/bombs from. I realize in many cases the packages themselves were destroyed by the explosions but in some cases I thought there may have been a logging of these details before that occured. I also read that in some cases Ted Kaczynski would first send a letter in a plain envelope to the targeted individual letting them know they would soon be receiving a book or a Thesis paper? I cant remember where I read this but I would be interested in the details regarding any correspondence where there is a time stamp/location.
Thank you!
Good topic….AK is the expert on TK..he will be along shortly…i

Sorry for the late reply. Good news is I have been working on things with some positive developments, spending less time on message board activity.
I would say go to the TK Wikipedia entry. Also the book Unabomber: A Desire to Kill by Robert Graysmith, for the best info on dates and cities mailed from.
Yes, in order to encourage the victim to open a package from someone he did not know, TK would sometimes send a letter before, saying a book was coming. He outlined this strategy in an article he wrote for a radical magazine, called something like "How to Hit an Exxon Executive". Ted also sent bomb packages as if they were coming from a colleague, such as a fellow professor or corporate executive.

I did not know Graysmith had written book on both Zodiac and Unabomber. How does he react when presented with evidence connecting TK to Zodiac?
