Happy Thanksgiving, all!
I just encountered one of the funniest books I’ve ever read: "A Confederacy of Dunces" by Robert Kennedy Toole. Toole was awarded the Pulitzer Prize posthumously (he committed suicide at age 31) which was a tragedy not only for him, but for all English-speaking readers who delight in a hilarious read. Apparently his book had been rejected several times by illiterate editors, which triggered paranoia/depression in Toole that sent him over the edge. Be that as it may, "Dunces" is a damned funny read for any with a triple-digit IQ and a command of the English language.
Happy Thanksgiving. Go Vikings!!! Dunce is one of my top 5 favorite words of all time.
