So I decided to take some pics. Been a while and I really don’t know what I’m doing but I got a few semi ok shots out of about a gazillion. working in the dark at short notice didn’t helps and my stupid auto focus re-engaged so I couldn’t find the moon to get shots of the complete eclipse. I’m too tired to check them all but here’s a couple.

Really nice sharp pics..not easy as the moon moves on quite fast, gets blurry usually..cool.

Around here, the moon whizzes by in the sky so fast it’s hard to even see it, much less photograph it.

Yeah I had to wait for it to come back round on my first go lol.
I get what QT means though. When you’re at full zoom it does shift pretty quickly in your view range. That’s why I was annoyed about the focus. I’d got it set but not the ‘right kind of’ set so when I adjusted the tripod to center the moon (due to it’s movement) it knocked my focus back to continuous right when the eclipse was nearly full and it was too dark to focus. Doh!

Watched it from beginning to end. It was quit amazing. Got up at
4 am just to see how bright it shine. Great picture of that Blood
Moon.
I missed it. No reminders until AFTER. 
I did go out around 10:00pm (pacific) and it was HUGE and brighter than I had ever seen it. It almost hurt my eyes to look at it. Really cool. And good effort Trav! Wish I had gotten the chance to takes some shots!

I noticed something strange about the moon as I left for work this morning but thought it were just the clouds.

Excellent pics, Trav! I tried getting some pics on my phone but they didn’t look very good. My sister got some good pics of my son where it looks like he is holding the moon in his hands and another one where it looks like he is eating it.
A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….
