I grew up in Walnut Creek and every morning I would look out the window of my bedroom and see Mt. Diablo. My friends and I used to go climbing around a place called "Rock City." I used to go camping up there with my father. I loved going up to the top and visiting the signal tower. It is one of my favorite places in the world! :D

Your dad is not the Zodiac.

Welcome to the forum. Also lived close to Mt. Diablo for many years, it’s also one of my favorite places. Rock City & all the locations on Mt. Diablo are wonderful.

The photo of Mt. Diablo’s first winter snow reminds me of the "peek through the pines, around in the snow" card sent.

Zam, We both love that mountain. It is so pretty in April when the blossoms in the valley are in bloom and there is snow on the top of it. It reminded me of pictures of Japan I have seen.
Being that Zodiac likes the Mikado so much , remember the back drop we saw when we went to see the Mikado? It looked very much like Mt Diablo.

Then when we left and were driving back and someone fired a shot, that was creepy!

I remember one of the fires was in a circle around the mountain in the late 70’s ?
