Thank you so much TheForeigner for the song. It’s a tear jerker for sure. She certainly has a beautiful voice.
I think we all needed to hear this!

My hubby’s family is from Copenhagen and he says someday he’s going to go visit whoever is left of his family there!
Are you Danish?

Thank you again and I hope yourself and everyone on this board are doing well

The foreigner you are kindly welcome, and that’s great news.
We needed to hear a beautiful song like that.

We are on an island here with a population of just over 500,000 but geographically it’s a fair size. There are just over 100 COVID19
cases here as of today. They are a result of travel of course and people just not isolating themselves. It should be a no brainer.
It could be much worse though in comparison to other countries.

Should it get out of control here, we’re doomed so to speak.

And thank you for your reply. All the best to you and your family.

IF YOU GET INFECTED BY CORONA VIRUS AND GET A FEVER DO NOT TAKE MEDS TO REDUCE THE FEVER !!!

IF YOU ARE A NORMALY HEALTHY ADULT OR TEENAGER AND GET INFECTED …LET THE FEVER DO THE WORK!

Fever is one of our bodies way to fight the virus !
Fever also fight bacteria, so if you get Corona virus infected and also get
a second infection with bacteria like a bacterial pneumonia, which is not uncommon,
the fever will fight that infection too.

Here is the longer explanation by Dr. John Campbell:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJqSdmNNwW4
Reducing fever, good or bad PART 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDijpnCOoFc
Reducing fever PART 2

NB. Excluded from the above statements is if you suffer from conditions as;
cardiac arrest, Sepsis or neurological injuries or fever 105F/ 41.6C and higher
Also, other recommendations concerning fever apply to babies and children.

I warmly recommend Dr John Campbell’s daily informative videos,
he is wise, very knowledgeable, pedagogical and down to earth :

I am also on an island.. the biggest one. Australia 25 miilion on a very large land mass with the majority living quite crowded on the eastern seaboard. some good news for us..our rate of transmission of infections seems to have reduced (flattened) but the rate of returning australians has zoomed. they are going into (special) hotels for a two week quarantine.
you can not stuff the genie back in the bottle, all you can do is manage him manipulate him slow his stride so as to not shock the hospital system.

If you have fever Take a antipyretic like paracetamol To say do not take unless you have a 41.6 / 105f temp is shockingly bad advice for anything above 40 is considered life threatening and 41.6 the individual would probably be in a state of delirium.

Maybe some will think just letting a low grade fever run it’s course will be beneficial? you would be wrong especially on the matter of Covid-19 for the only way to prevent extreme hyperthermia is to preemptively take a antipyretic, you can’t hit 40+ fever and sudden hit the eject button.

Then there’s the matter of dehydration, loss of appetite etc really none of these things are good whilst a body is fighting.

Regarding the right medication for covid-19 i can only suggest paracetamol. I’ve seen talk that ibuprofen is undesirable but nothing but anecdotal commentary to back that.

Yes, dyslexia is probably my first undiagnosed language.

Hi Indubitably

Thank you for your kind thought concerning my son, he is doing fine now, he and his family has all recovered from Corona.

Wonderful news, people don’t need to make this a PANIC’DEMIC before locally actually a becoming a pandemic.

For your health: Take iodine and Vitamin D (which isn’t a vitamin) and cut out most simple and complex carbohydrate and move to a Keto diet. Do it over time. You’ll thank me later.

1,000,207 cases, 207 territories.

Covid has now affected more than 1,000,000 individuals. Except Falkland Islands, most territories of Earth have their infections. Central African Republic, Yemen, Turkmenistan and Tadchikistan – their reports might very well be doubted. We are living on Coronearth.

However, growth has slowed down in many countries, due to social distancing. On the opposite, a 6% growth still doubles the existing cases on a 12-day basis only. Also, medical services should be pretty much stressed already, with even the NY major currently requesting 3,000 respiratory apparatus’s instead of only 400.

Deaths in relation to two weeks recent infection numbers – the average time it takes until unlucky patients decease:

April 2nd, 2020: 51,356 (deaths)
March 19: 244,902 (infected)

is, according to Battegay, Manuel et al, Swiss Medical Report Feb 2020, a mortality of 21.0%. I have a lot discussions about such numbers, but so far this is the truth. This, on the long run, could be every fifth of us. If not everybody, due to lack of immunization or due to mutation of the virus.

If nothing changes, an additional 210,000 individuals are ‘already’ in the process of dying – over the next two weeks only. No new infections considered, yet.

Two aspects regarding the virus itself:

1) A shorter incubation time (or even higher mortality) would make this virus way less dangerous: The virus is very dependent on us hosts to stay alive.

2) Not sure if the following is a fact but a friend of mine let me know that the Covid moreless consists of two different strings of SARS plus some part of HIV string. If anybody can find out any details if this is true, or at least a comparable description, that’d be interesting.

Oh, and by the way: If immunization does not work, North Korea might have won the (global) game on the long run.
