However, with 0.66%, besides outlier territories Vaticane City and San Marino (both Italy; lwith ittle population), the area New York has now the highest density of infections all over the world: Out of one million, 6,662 have already been tested positive on Covid-19; resulting to ~600 Covid-19 related deaths – per day.

Since yesterday, the US has 25,900 new cases, currently leading to a total of 362,573 infected. Out of 1,000 Americans, at least one person is infected – a pretty good reason to stay at home.

For those interested, Austria has recovered pretty well: As a result of total lockdown (98% of all stores closed etc.) as well as bad weather, the daily infection rate was actually reduced to approximately 2.0%. Let’s wait five daysando see if this trend will be a steady one (and even if, most other counties in Europe have a different one..). Meanwhile, brders have been locked. Thus, can’t travel to other European countries, e.g. Hungary (distance from my place ~40 miles), anymore. And no, they didn’t tell in advance nor do they let us know when they will open the borders again. Instead, discussions start about tracking (all) individuals, privacy, subsidies for corporations etc.

The usual response from experts is a shrug followed by "you can kill just about anything in a petri dish". Its a bit like saying, "soap kills it on your hands, so consume soap".

certainly a bit different to that especially knowing what the drug has been used for in the past.. more scientific using state of the art equipment and previous knowledge about the drug in other viruses looking at how it breaks down its RNA?

interesting all my superanuation is in shares and they have been decimated in recent times (i was about to retire on july 1st).. all except the CSL shares and interstingly enough they are going OK and might prosper from the Virus and a joint venture with a US company. lets hope someone/anyone gets something happening soon.

This is the statistic we might need. If there is more people getting cured (and dying btw…) than getting infected, the disease grows back as a whole. That is the case in Austria, at the moment (wait 5 days after Easter..)

If you are unfortunate enough to catch covid-19 try using the decongestant nasal spray with Oxymetazoline as the active ingredient. It’s is known to have anti-viral effects on influenza variants and the common cold. Seeing as it is a standard treatment using it as directed certainly can do no harm.

I find it interesting that nations who predominantly or only use Oxymetazoline instead of pseudoephedrine seemingly are fairing better.

It starts off with a sore throat, dry cough and no runny nose. By the time you are coughing and have a fever, you could already have pneumonia.

A few things you can do to "help prevent" getting this virus, which may not show up until 5 or 6 days after getting it.

Take sips of water at least every 15 min. By doing that, the virus goes into the stomach where the acid there "kills it"instead staying in your tracius and then moving into the lungs. It’s a good idea to gargle with warm salt water and avoid cold drinks with ice.

This virus hates the sun. ( I wonder if a couple of sun lamps in your home will kill the germs?)

It is a good idea to check each morning to see if you do or don’t have it, take a deep breath in clean air and hold it for at least 10 seconds. If you don’t feel like you have to cough and don’t have any tightness in your chest area , you are probably ok.

I like the idea of sipping water at least every 15 min to wash it into the stomach where it dies!!!! I heard this virus doesn’t like citrus , that is in the special masks to help prevent the virus. So perhaps put some lemon in the water you sip? Of course continue to wash your hands for 20 seconds often. It can live on your hands for 5 to 10 minutes and in that time you could have already touched your face. Stay safe and have a Happy Easter!
