A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….

Missed it, but…neato!
That’s not a photograph of the Z340. That’s a really bad reproduction of a scan of a low-resolution scan of the 340. Imagine you take a photo and print it. And then you photograph that print. And you then print THAT photo. And then you use a scanner to make it into a computer image. And then you re-size it. And then post it online.
That’s about what it is here. The best image of the 340 we have is this one:

It’s always best to start with the best source available, and sadly this is the best we have. It’s not great either.

I got the photo I used from that exact site, it might even be the same photo…
Regardless, I understand your point, it could be an anomalous feature due to reproduction and resizing of the photograph.
So I’ll try again.
Trust me though, altering light filters, even on photographs of objects, can reveal some amazing things that your naked eye never would have caught.
I assumed that it was not an anomaly as it fits the patterns needed for a "grid" device, and I don’t think he just free-handed those straight lines of cipher text.
Thank you though, very helpful, I am going to start playing with light filters on the photo you suggested, if the feature is in both photos, it is likely not an anomaly from reproduction and resizing.
Here’s a progressive saturation animation I made based on the original 340 image:
(Give it a little time to load – it’s 6MB in size)

I did more than saturate it, I altered the light filters and contrast as well…
Try that same animation with the photos i used (posted below)…this way I can see if it was an anomaly of the photo I used, or if it was a result of the other filters I used.
I can see the feature in the photo you suggested when I alter it as well, but it’s way more difficult to make it stand out, I need to keep working with filters.
… while I can mildly see it in the New photo I filtered and saturated, I am going to call this an anomaly due to reproduction of the photo that I used and move on.
…at least until I find a good light filter and saturation and contrast combination.
There are special cameras for photographing features that can not be seen with the naked eye, has the z340 ever been photographed and examined with such cameras and software? I would love to be able to photograph and work with the original…

The image is small which is why the saturated pieces eventually turn into blocky chunks.

Bummer.
Thank you for clearing that up.
the dots between the characters in my photo are different than the blocks…
Regardless, I accept that it was an anomaly produced by the photo which I had used.
Here’s what I came up with playing with various levels in Lightroom:
That is exactly what I found with the photo I used, it is the same pattern, it is just nearly impossible to see, when I took your photo and upped the saturation the dots came back…
I keep trying to post it, but it will not let me…it says the file is too big
I have to shrink the file.
I am still willing to accept that the feature is an anomaly, but I can very vaguely see the same yellow dot grid in your photo, and I found a way to make it more visible, but am having difficulty posting the photo…
I think the blotches might be indications of the chemical used to find fingerprints on the paper.
