Thanks Zamantha, I enjoy seeing all the old pictures of Vallejo and the cars! I can’t help but wonder if Zodiac’s car is in one of those pictures? I do believe that he did live there for many years.

A while back- i was told Ed Cruz, retired Vallejo PD was the Zodiac.

I went a few years ago to meet with Ed Cruz and his family. I asked him about his drawing of the crime scene, but sadly his mind was already staring to fade. I liked the family and had my picture taken with Ed Sr. ( I knew he was not the Zodiac )
His son Ed Cruz Jr. looked at the picture I have of my Honcho suspect. He recognized him as a customer of Home Depot, he told me the guy was a construction worker who went to Home Depot often for supplies. He didn’t know the mans name. I forgot to ask what sort of supplies did he buy? I was 5 min behind my suspect one day when I was going to places that I thought he would buy supplies for the new Police station being built. I knew he was working there, because I saw his truck parked there and was told by someone who also worked construction at that new police station.

The day I was minutes behind him , I found out that he had bought a 4X8 sheet of metal lathe for the job at the new police station. ( He paid cash) I went to the building department and asked for a copy of all the contractors for that job. It is a very long list and I wasn’t sure which company he was working for? None were in Vallejo but there was one in Benicia , now I know that Honcho did work in Benicia.

The old VPD was In the City Hall Building which is now the Naval and Historical Museum at Marin and Capitol St. The police station occupied the south end of the old city hall. Moved to Amador In the early sixties. Maybe 63/64.

I wonder who did the writing in white on the picture above of the city hall?

It looks a lot like Zodiac’s writing!

I just scrolled back up to take another look at it and the writing is gone?????

Thanks again for the pictures you find, I didn’t go to any parks that I remember? Unless with Buzz Gordon? I know we were always looking to see if we could find Zodiac.

That writing was done by a guy called Zan Stark, who made a lot of similar postcards of the area.

I wonder why Zan Stark removed it , was it because the writing was so Z like?

Alot of people thought Zan Starks writing was very Z like.
My understanding is that Zan passed away, long before the Z days.
Unless someone liked & copies his writing.

A year before to be precise, that’s right. Zan Stark’s son (Zan Stark Jr) did a lot of work with his dad towards the end of his life. I have never seen his handwriting.
