Many people have become sidelined into believing Monticello has some connection to Lake Berryessa, which is not the case. The Zodiac insinuated his involvement in the Snoozy/Furlong murders by his attribution of "Aug" on the Dripping Pen card. This artificially jacked his victim total from five to seven. Fast forward to the Monticello card – and he insinuates his involvement in their murders once again. That is because the neighbourhood of Monticello sits yards (if not encompasses Oak Hill Memorial Park and Cemetery) where Kathy Snoozy is buried. The reason he chose Monticello was not only to invoke his connection to the murders of Snoozy and Furlong once again, but because the victim portrayed in the Monticello card had the same forename of "Kathy" – that of Kathy Bilek.

Her murder on April 11th 1971 was committed in the Villa Montalvo "woods" in "April" near the neighbourhood of "Monticello", where her namesake was buried, which he had previously insinuated his involvement in on November 8th 1969. It really isn’t any more complicated than that. There is a lot more besides. If every feature of the Monticello card can be explained, but seemingly everything isn’t enough, then I have no problem with people searching for less connections to explain the communication.

Richard, That makes perfect sense to me, that is how Zodiac’s twisted brain works.

I am also thinking that he could have been giving a warning to someone named April?
