Sooooooo………

I had a fun day. Went to the doctors at 9.30am, got an appt for 10.30am. I had a cyst on the side of my nose, up near the bridge tucked in beside the tear duct on my right eye. It’s been there for quite a while and whilst it was annoying it had ‘popped’ once then came back and I thought it will either do the same or I’ll get it seen too, so to speak. Well IT decided that for me and over the course of the last few days it went nuclear.

I had taken to wearing my sunglasses to hide the thing and I did derive some small pleasure when the receptionist at the surgery asked me what the problem was and I lowered my glasses to show her and it produced an almost comic "Eeeekkk" from her lol.

So I was expecting the Doc to prescribe some antibiotics. I don’t really do ‘doctors’ so antibiotics mostly work quite well for me cause I never go asking for them. But, no. Off to hospital. More "Eeekking". Off to another hospital in Belfast, the local one was to afraid to touch it. I should point out it wasn’t scary per se lol, it’s just because of where it was and that I’m diabetic.

I had to get the bus. Pfftttt.

So I got there and this all started as a visit to my GP so I’m not prepared for anything. Nothing for an overnight etc. But, thank you non-panicking specialists. No "Eeeking" lol, "We’re gonna numb it, slice it, drain it and send you home".

And they did, with antibiotics, finally. :D

Did it hurt? Yes, like f**k. Ironically not the minor surgery part, it was when local anesthetic was being administered. They had to do it in two parts cause the first part hurt so damn much. I nearly cryded. Still, all done and I’ve got my face back, sort of. Still got a great big piece of gauze taped over it. I cheered myself up by putting up Halloween decorations when I got home, like any grown-up would :? :D

P.S. No I’m not taking a photo of it Glurk or Smithy and it did happen, so there :P

Yikes! Pop quizzes are bad enough but pop surgery. Good thing you didn’t need to spend the night! I worry about you and the diabetes, take all your meds even if you are feeling great!

DSG, Lillie is absolutely precious! She looks like she rules the roost.

I think your post with the Liza painting kind of detracted from Lillie. That is an excellent likeness of Liza, BTW.

Eureka Was considered a masterpiece Of POES’.
It is considered a keystone to unlocking his entire writings.
Their are many sides to Poe. Dark, funny, as well as the outer reailys
of the human mind. V.pRICE did movies of poes’ many writings.
I don’t know why hollYWood dosen’t do a movie. Im sure their are a great many actors who would enjoy doing
some of poes’ works. It wood be very cool. Just, like the show… 8-) sleepy hollow.
You could see Poe at his desk writing…. and then go into his mind and see
the storying playing out. It would be a great show on FX. :ugeek: Hopefully someone may get
the ideal ;) Who… :? would play Poe?
