He was tall with a huge nose. There’s a pic of me sitting next to him. I’m 6’3" and have a large nose. Keep that in mind when you look at the pic.

There are conflicting reports of Joseph DeAngelo being 5′ 10" or 5′ 11", but he ended up being on the high end of the estimates. The majority pegged him at 5′ 9" — and we’re talking about of lot of sightings.
However, at two of the crime scenes, Zodiac was seen standing next to cars, which gives an easy frame of visual reference. So the estimates probably aren’t wildly off.

Not sure POIs can be ruled out just because of their actual age. People age differently and easily look 5-10 years younger or older than they actually are. Especially in their 30s and 40s.
Right, this is why we’ll never solve the case. We keep throwing up roadblocks — why a description was wrong.
I’m going on a limb and saying the Stine witnesses were sharp and clear-headed and reliable.
Meaning . . . the Stine killer was 5’8, in his early 40’s, and had non-black hair.
Why not accept that as a working hypothesis for a while and see what happens?
No suspect was eliminated because they were 5’11". That’s ridiculous.
Eliminate anyone too young and/or too tall FOR NOW — meaning trust the most credible witnesses (the Stine witnesses).
Without overcomplicating it, let’s see if we can come up with leads on guys 5’8 in their early 40’s.

That there is 100% nonsense. The Zodiac case won’t be solved by anything other than DNA and that’s been the case for a couple decades. Not my opinion, but the statements of detectives and prosecutors. And as far as we know, Zodiac has been identified but there’s no DNA to prove it, yet. Nothing has been jumbled.

Which is why they need to comb the Stine cab under modern forensics. The solve is in there.

The million dollar question though is that what extent have they found DNA, are we talking full profile or the 2002 results ? Don’t know why I’m asking though as anybody in the know will not answer.
