For someone 5 foot 9 it’s borderline overweight in body mass index.

I’m 5’9 now about 180 lbs something with a bit of a gut. People refer to me now as stocky and when I weight 170 lbs with little gut they still call me that. I workout with weights all my life and still do so, always will be consider stocky with clothes on.
Ps. I don’t know anyone weighing around 220 lbs not describe as fat unless they are 6’2 or taller. point is a 5’9 220 Lbs Zodiac would be consider obese fat by most witness in my opinion.

Yea sounds about right and with a noticeable gut as well. Sounds reasonable.
Anybody 5’9 or 5’10 weighing 250 lbs is going to stand out like a soar thumb. Heck probably why the kids said Rick Marshall was way to fat to be the person they saw.
Oh and if you believe the Stine sketch which I do cause of the kids and Fouke. He has one of the thinnest faces ever and very likely he wasn’t that much overweight.

There are heavy-looking American football players. They’re big guys but their faces don’t look fat. You could describe them as beefy, heavyset etc. but not out of shape.

It’s a very limited composite, we can’t rest on it too much.
Point being Zodiac didn’t look over 150 lbs in the sketch.
LE saw him and trust them more then general citizens.
