This is the first short 8 minute film by John Carpenter made in 1969 at the the USC School of Cinematic Arts located in University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
The subject is a disillusioned computer worker who stalks a woman co-worker, after donning a black mask, with glasses over the top. Does this screenshot remind you of anything, apart from the occasional drunken fancy dress party.

O. M. G.

Well, it sort of reminds me of the "Carry On" movies, with those sock-suspenders on view. It’s sinister though, ain’t it? Not nice.

Same here and is that Kurt Russel behind the mask ? Must have been right after he left Disney to work with John. Joking but who knows if this is a Zodiac influence he had to be a film addict to view this. I can’t imagine this hit anywhere mainstream TV.

ISn’t there something about the bearing of the left, or right, breast in Masonic ritual? Not that I want to push that old chestnut but just what sprung to mind despite the obvious. And I also have the theme tune to "Are you being served?" in my head now – thanks a bunch lol.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

I belive it is using your right arm towards the left almost like you have your hand underneath your heart.
