his slaves, etc., he mentions feeding salted meat to his victims
and watching them plead for water. In the movie Johnny Cool,
released in October 1963, that’s what they do to Johnny Cool in
the movie. They plan to use salted cod though.
Interesting, we may have to go back and look at that. Seems like Z definitely was inspired by Books, Movies,TV etc

Pretty interesting. I wonder if Z worked as a behind the scenes guy in the film industry and some of the clues he gave were actually from movies he worked on. I looked at this movie on the imdb site and was hoping to find the initials of RH, but no such luck.

Oh, you watched it on YouTube. I saw it on cable a while ago. I just started another thread about the zodiac watching the Boston Strangler movie, starring Tony Curtis, and Henry Fonda, when it came out on October 18, 1968. The strangler left a pay phone off the hook after he taunted police. It shows in the movie how they trace the call, and that it takes some time to find the position in the old crossbar ATT switch. The film depicts how a trace was done back then very accurately. The thing is the strangler was also a rapist. He murdered and raped the victims( among other things), and he was known to be a sex addict and a thief. He was very strong and was an excellent 2nd story man. He was a psychopathic killer and sexual deviant. So was Albert Fish. He was a cannablistic rapist murderer. He was a monster. He wrote obscene letters to women, wrote letters to the families of his victims, describing what he had done to their children, wrote some letters years after the fact which reminds me of the zodiac. I personally don’t think the zodiac knew the details of this case. I think he just fits the same mold, as far as being mentally disturbed. Remember the media we had back then, tv, newspapers,books, movies, and magazines. And I’m sure zodiac read detective magazines too. As far as communicating, we had letters and telephone calls primarily. I think the zodiac was just a copy cat, but I also know he is the most dangerous killer because he is still out there somewhere.
