I have heard that the two houses betwixt which Cheri Jo Bates was murdered, were recently sold to the university. Wondering if anybody has documentation of this. Further made I wonder which real-estate company handled the sale, as I am looking for a Lawrence Kane connection to this murder given that an FBI report around 1980 noted he had scars on his forehead and wrist. Also wondering if anyone has documentation that would attribute the aforementioned injuries to Mr. Kane’s collision with a cement truck.

It wasn’t just two houses it was an entire square block of houses (12 houses) that was acquired by RCC.
RCC needed the land for their expansion plans and used eminent domain to force the home owners to sell.
I have a book on the history of RCC and it states : "Condemnation proceedings initiated July 20, 1966 against 12 owners
to require them to sell at a price established by the courts".

Where have you been? I thought Tom’s recording had finally laid this to rest. I’m glad to see some still have faith that 1970’s San Francisco was so culturally ahead of it’s time. I’m trying to think of a socially sensitive way of saying this, but maybe just listen to the recording and take another look at the photo’s of Kane.

Kane could only be Zodiac if he had foreign accent syndrome, an extremely rare disorder that can be triggered by head injuries in which a speaking voice completely changes. Seems like a reach though.
