Wow Susie, that is very Z-like, creepy. Also weird I just looked up the name, WILLIAM C HELLER in SF, and there’s no indication that there was anybody by that name living there, at least not on Ancestry.com
There’s a William C. Heller who has lived in CA, he’s age 67, and no lives on the East Coast.
Any relation of William heller to an Earl Heller?
Here is an interesting letter to the editor. It seems to be a rather harsh standpoint towards the Berkely demonstration saying that the police were right for killing one and should do more, as well as using the term Blue Meanies at the end. Ethan Allen was the name given, from the Fresno Bee The Republican June 2, 1969.
That’s an interesting one.

I need to list these separately maybe, but I am working on 1966 to 1967 Letters to Editor of Riverside Press Enterprise. I am starting off right after Cheri’s murder, hoping maybe a brazen killer or letter writer, might write about her case.

Ethan was ALA’s father, right?
Certainly a damn fine instance of zynchronicity. Blue meanies and all.

His father.
Ethan Allen was an army guy (well, military, not sure which branch) – officer of some kind, I think. He died not long after Allen became a suspect in the Z case, if memory serves.
EDIT Died in 1971.
The letter writer signs off with, ETHAN ALLEN, FRESNO. I can find ZERO records on Ancestry.com for any ETHAN ALLENS in Fresno, only Ethan Allen on Fresno ST

Furniture store in Fresno. No idea how long he/they have been in business, though.
Fairly common name, I suppose.

So….does this make ALA more connected or has there been something that has definitely ruled him out as a suspect? If this is some big find, does it change anything as to the reasons WHY he has been discounted, or does it make him that much more appealing because at the time he could not be placed in the area and this was a documented newspaper that happened to be his father around the time Z killed? I am sorry, but I have not read all the docs on here….what is the significance of that particular address? And, yes, I am fully aware, that is probably an idiot question.
Is it just because ALA lived there or was there some other connection?
Interesting….the Domingos murders were in June too….

Was ALA any relation to Ethan Allen furniture? While it is fairly common now (though not really), was it a common store back then?
