With all the recent talk about advanced DNA testing and GEDMatch, etc, it‘s made me think about the suspect Sandy from the Santa Barbara case. LE had a jacket in evidence which allegedly had been worn by him and had the name Robert Coffman in it.
Although I don’t think for one minute that this was his name (probably nicked the jacket or picked it up at a second hand sale), does anyone know if this jacket still exists and has ever been submitted for modern DNA testing? If it had been kept locked away in fairly decent conditions I would have though it would be possible to get hair, sweat or touch DNA off the inside of this jacket. There must have been a load of cells rubbed off onto the inside of the collar, etc which might still be viable?
There’s a chance this guy was a young Zodiac and we might actually have his clothing…
It’s a shame it doesn’t say Robert "Hoffman", or we’d really be onto something.

It did cross my mind that "Coffman" sounds like a play on Hoffman.
Now I want to check that it’s not somehow "Hoffman".
