Stay with me on this one…
My Best Friend works at a Theater house running Audio – whenever they have a local Orchestra come in they have at least a couple of rehearsals during the day for a week or two during Weekend Days or Weeknight’s when there isn’t a show going on…
Cecilia Ann Shepard was a Music Major and was most definitely visiting her fellow Musicians/friends and Teachers when traveling up to the College before meeting with Hartnell. She could have also been in town for Napa Moon Festival thing, but Hartnell said they were thinking of going into the city that evening.
The Article has Cecilia’s Mentor and 4 other students performing at the ACT Theater on Oct. 22nd – which on the corner of Geary and Mason St. – where Paul Stine picked up the Zodiac Killer. There is a very good chance that they where practicing there on Oct. 11th during the day or into the evening since the Theater’s main Director took the group to New York to show there newest Play on Broadway that weekend. They could even have been practicing there at Night. Regardless this location with people who reside almost 2 hours from each other possibly having two exact things in common with the Zodiac Killer is no coincidence.
Do you have the numbers of how many students/actors spent time at that theatre during the prior year? And how many cab drivers worked that general area during the prior year? We don’t really know how big of a coincidence or actual link this would be without knowing those two numbers.
I would say the number of students with reason to be at the Theater would be pretty low considering that their appearance there was worthy enough to note in the Periodical. When it comes to how many cab drivers, Paul Stine was – wrong place, wrong time. It could have been any Driver. It’s not the driver which is coincidental – it’s the Location. A location 5 people that Cecilia Shepherd would have known very well, could have been at. Not only that, but if they were there for rehearsal that night, which is a possibility, then the Zodiac being in the same place of closely connected people is of interest. Seeing that he wore a mask when attacking Shepherd, hiding his identity from someone who might recognize him. The person with the biggest link to the Teacher and Students is the Conductor William Baer who was the extension director at the ACT theater. Not saying he is the Zodiac, just that he and the ACT Theater are a Link(if there was a practice held there).
I wouldn’t mind seeing a roster or playbill for the Napa Valley Symphony Orchestra from 1969
Whoa! Great work Cragle! I’ve got a 1966 Riverside phonebook somewhere, I’ll try and cross reference any of these names. Maybe the Riverside College Yearbook as well.
So here is how the link goes,
Paul Stine – ACT Theater – William Baer and the Napa Valley Symphony Orchestra – Pacific Union College(Music Dept.) – Cecelia Ann Shepard/Seventh Day Adventist Church* – Riverside – Cheri Jo Bates
*Pacific Union College is like the Northern Part of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Riverside County being the Southern Part, they are Partnered areas and they both have Periodicals that have a very well maintained Archive, here is the Link:

I would recommend that any keyword be Searched in "Quotations" for more accurate hits.
The Only link that can’t be made to music is the Vallejo/Benicia Killings. However Faraday and Jensen were both supposed to go to a Christmas concert at the High School, everyone says they never made it but maybe they stopped by but missed curtain call. It was supposed to be at Hogan High School, I think but maybe wrongly. I know the school was right next to were Jensen lived. Maybe the Killer spotted and stalked them because he was at the Concert for some reason. Maybe he or his wife or elderly mother, or even just friend – played in the Ochestra Pit of the concert(As well as Napa). When it comes to Ferrin and Migeau, it was the Fourth of July, lots of Ochestras playing the Pops in these areas. Of course maybe they just lived there is another reason. But the music is starting to really stand out.
Cecelia had driven up north only a couple of days before she went to the Lake with Bryan, She wasn’t in Northern ca a week before. The likelihood of her going to SF is slim to none. I will be seeing Cecelia’s friend on Sept 27th and will confirm what she had told me the last time we talked. I was told she drove Cecelia from southern ca to northern Ca,.so she could pick up her things at the campus a couple of days before Cecelia was killed.
I have seen the piano that once had a memorial plaque on the side of it. Someone tried pulling it off and it needed to be fixed , before putting it back. I offered to fix it and gave the music director my phone number. But have not heard back form him as of yet. It was made of metal and would not take much to straighten it out. It was upsetting to know that it was pulled off by "someone". Even if she had been inside of Paul’s cab for a few minutes, that would not mean they somehow were killed because if it?
People tried to connect Darlene to Paul Stine, we proved that she had been murdered before he was a cab driver, so he was not driving her around SF in his cab.
I didn’t say they were in the cab together or that they knew each other, just had ties to the location. The ACT Theater.
I am sorry but I don’t get how that is relative to the case , anymore than saying all of them bought bread and milk at a Safeway grocery store?
