The problem with analyzing letters is, he could be more normal than we think and completely faking the insanity.
I’m not saying a serial-killer is normal, obviously not, but he could have been exaggerating his condition in the letters.
Yeah, I think we imagine such killers to all be psychopaths or sociopaths etc but in reality, I think someone like the Zodiac was far more normal than what we would like to believe.
I believe that Zodiac is able to appear normal when he needs to, but in no way is he normal. He is a "egotistical psycho" who is a clever methodical and a extremely sick individual. His brain is not wired like a normal person, he has family who knows he is dangerous. They may even know he is Zodiac, but afraid to bring shame to the family and their very successful business.
I have seen posters who believe that when Zodiac dies, his family will find evidence to his crimes and turn it over to the police. I don’t see them doing that at all , they would be too worried about their reputations and what it will do the the family business. Of course this is based on speculation of my suspect Honcho and his partner RH in crime, who has a huge successful business. I am pretty sure that because I have reported both of them to the police , they knew killing me would draw attention to both of them.
The best thing I did for my protection, was to take Honcho’s picture on Aug 10th 1990 and giving it to the police, in case I was murdered by them. I still get the occasional phone calls, but have not been shot at or ran off the roads for several years now. I am looking forward to the DNA giving the true name of Zodiac.
I think one of the main reasons that Z was never identified is because he had the ability to lead such a double life. I think he probably had a wife and children, and a dull, routine job. At least during his killing spree. I think he was in the fame game. He thought his life was going to be so much more, and now here he was..middle-aged and going nowhere fast. He was probably stuck in a career that he hated, but couldn’t leave because of responsibilities. My theory is that the killing stopped not only because he almost got caught, but because his life got better. Better, in his eyes, because of the attention that he received as Z, and better because he probably had a favorable career change. He’d still send in the occasional letter; just to bask in the afterglow.

She is a killer from Austria, put two of her men into the fridge. Owned an ice gelateria, so latter was not a problem for her.
Now I know her psycho-therapist (whom I even asked to write a short Z summary, she declined as she couldn’t talk to him..).
Her comment on Esti, however, was that she acts like an absolutely normal woman. Bit isolated with her emotions perhaps but nothing beyond that. Except she kills men.
Think with Z it’s the same, some facade, multinormal guy but bad killer.

I agree with you QT ,Zodiac had a double life. I do not believe that he has ever stopped killing, he continued just like he said he would.
I have no doubt that he was the person claiming he was thee Zodiac , who called Pittsburg PD and confessed to killing over a dozen people in the 80’s and 90’s. He directed the police to my daughters friends body, Andrea Ingersol. My daughter dropped Andrea off at a market in Pittsburg and that was the last time she saw her. My Honcho suspect followed my daughter almost as much as he did me. He would call her and say : tic- tock tic- tock tic- tock —– Boom, you are dead. She was very afraid of him and would call me when ever she saw him. The girls who got away from the killer, have ID’d the picture I have as the killer. Before they saw the picture they described the man as being in his early 50’s salt and pepper wavy hair , glasses , stocky , Hispanic looking, construction worker. That description is what caused me to meet with these girls and show his picture. He is the same man I got away from in Vallejo/Napa 1968. I have not seen the nice side of this suspect, only a very mean side. Unless he is in disguise dressed as a woman. What sort of killer dresses in drag?

Yes I lived in Napa and worked as a waitress in Vallejo. I worked at the Coronado Inn and a few other popular night clubs in Vallejo. The man I believe is Zodiac started following me in Vallejo 1968 and continues to torment me with letters, notes and phone calls over many years. There is a very good chance that he did live in Napa, because I showed a woman his picture and she said she thought he lived off of Coombsville rd. I lived off of Imola on Navarre st, near the St. Hospital where a caller made several calls to the Jim Dunbar show, claiming he was Zodiac. I still believe that is who he was and not Eric Weil !
Someone else who actually met my suspect ,told me that the man did live in Benicia a few yrs ago and worked at a plastering company there. He used the first name of Tony, but that could be a cover for his real name.
