Apologies if this has been done before, but I had trouble searching it.
I have a vague recollection of reading at least once that there was a sketch showing Zodiac in profile. If it exists, I’m guessing its from Mageau’s original description. I also have a recollection of Cheney saying that his work colleague pointed the profile sketch out to him after it had been run in an LA newspaper. At first, I thought he was referring to either LB sketch or the Stine composite since this was after October 13th 1969 Stine letter, but he corrected the interviewer who made a similar assumption, saying, "No, it was the one in profile". I just thought he’d flat out made a mistake.
Perhaps, I’m crazy and just misremembering. Why do I have the impression there’s a profile sketch? Has anyone seen such a sketch?
I remember seeing it off and on. My poi resembles it. It may have been a sketch from some other less well-known cases or Ear-Ons (Maggiore?).
Interesting, so there was some sort of sketch circulating. I’ve just recovered from Covid, so thought it was a fever dream I’d had. I was somewhat curious, because I remember reading that Bundy had been identified from a profile sketch, although they are much less common.
There was no sketch made for the Vallejo-area attacks.
You might be thinking of something from reddit, they like to play games with the wanted posters for some reason.
I can almost picture this sketch in my mind but have not been able to locate it on Google.
The back of his head is on the left and he is looking to the right. It is a sketch of his right side.
I am pretty sure he is wearing a short-sleeve shirt with the cuffs rolled up; hair might be slicked back and possibly wearing sunglasses. The total "look" is quite different from most of the others we see and this one reminds me of someone trying to look "cool."
There’s the Napa identikit and the two from SFPD; that’s it. Nothing else is a legit as far as Zodiac composites are concerned.
Just found it on tapatalk….Go to Dan the Pizza Man, Zodiak composite drawing. I have seen it other places that are clearer but can’t locate those now (but it is the same sketch).

There’s a photo of somebody’s office (can’t remember whose), where you can see a profile sketch in the background…some guy wearing wraparound shades. That’s the only one I know of. It’s probably here somewhere.
Edit — Yeah, that’s the one. Well, it’s poor quality, maybe it’s Cyclops from the X-Men.
