Hi-

Zodiac used 6 volt car batteries. We use 12 volt batteries here.

Mike

and with that X does deserve his place as a POI…with VW not switching to 12V until 1967ish it is yet another raised eye brow moment for X,,but X would have known much earlier in regards to 6v based systems with his Allard and jeep dealership (and the first VW dealership (USA) if I remember correct)….wonder if that bomb was ever found..be interested in wire size as reason for switching to 6v system is you reduce cost as you do not need to run as thick copper wire..dont remember if Z ever talked or wrote about generator and not alternator based system,,,oh well another one of those things that is just interesting to consider/ponder with relevance at this time only conjecture

one thing that has always intrigued me with X is if he had connection to Eichman (nazi/final soultion) who had worked in argentina at the VW factory…mossad finally found him in 1960 and he was returned to israel for trial and eventualyy a well deserved death..id almost bet X had been to that VW factory in argentina..more useless stuff but again it is interesting

I read that U.S. cars used 6 volt batteries from the 1930 to 1952. Could have worked on cars when he was a younger man. As an example–if Zodiac were around 35 in 1969, he would have been born in 1934. He would have been about 18 in 1952. People kept cars for years. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility he was familiar with 6 volt car batteries–if he was an American.

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

1936 is good too.

He might be Jew, and hated what the VW
stood for. Hitler, Germany, Nazi, etc.

He might have started out as a kid
with a scanner listing to traffic reports,
then got on his bicycle and (Rushed)
to the accident scene, took tire track-
skid marks, photos,
then got the police report, and mailed
his prints to the Ins. co. for $$$$

If I had sent you a photo, then you would
have traced it back to me. (sic)

It would be nice if law enforcement had the time to read a message board about a 45 year old case; sifting through it all looking for things that might relate to Zodiac.

If you truly feel you have pertinent information, please tell me you have sent it to them.

This is what they do when no one is watching.
Who are the 1000 plus viewers?
Us?
Them?
All of us?

Yes, I’m sending it to them.
As I have stated.

Page 4 of the bus bomb letter where he lists the components. " 2 6v car bat". On the diagram he just calls them 6v bat. On the new diagram he puts "car bat" on the diagram itself but leaves out the voltage.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

(If) zodiac was a mechanic, why
did he call a (coil wire) the (middle wire)
in his Bates correspondence letter?
That is not a mechanics lingo!

(If) not!
Then why is the confession letter syntaxed together
like all the other Zodiac letters?

Reefer Madness was a movie, and Zodiac
used part of the blurb from it in that Bates
letter, like he used lines from movies
in his other letters.

The confession letter is satire, and
so are his other letters.

He also described how he killed her, Bates,
(with a knife)
and mentioned how she twitched too.

Did he not mention in one of his letters
a 9mm was used, and one of the victims
thrashed out?

He also made a threat in it too.
Tell your… I’m watching them!

Mike and Ike, they look alike!

You wrote this…
Was he possibly saying "Peek-A-Boo"….aka Pennington, "you are doomed"….literally?
Maybe it wasn’t a threat to Paul Avery after all–he just knew it would get published.

Why did he mail it to Paul.
Did not have Pennington’s address?
Crack proof?

I doubt if Jack the Strangler was.
But Zodiac was.

Here is a bed time story to read along
with the confessions letter.
