If someone could take the time and list, in simple form, the revelations-of-bat so that maybe I could jump on board.

Is he saying that a 60+ year old PD was zodiac, based on an ad that says peek-a-boo with eyes and eyelashes?

Is he saying that the zodiac killer got his motivation from
The Fugitive TV show? Was David Janzen Z?

Or that the Zodiac killer was influenced by George Barris, a paper bag and the Gong show?
Was Agent Barris the Z?

Please, I’m serious here. I need a synopsis.

Blind Bat is trying to show us where Zodiac may have gotten some of his ideas , not that he believed that the people who said them were Zodiac.
We all should know by now that Zodiac did in fact get his ideas from moives , books etc. So why not pay attention to Blind Bats findings ?

He /she is doing something I haven’t seen done before and that is reading between the lines of Zodiac letters.
There could be something to that ? It is a different look at something we may have overlooked ?

Zodiac writing about the" middle" wire of Cheri Jo’s car told me he wasn’t a machanic , but knew enough to know the car wouldn’t start by removing it. Something that I knew as a young female, when my coil wire was removed from my car in 1968. (My father was a machanic is how I knew)

Some don’t believe that Cheri Jo was a Zodiac victim, that is their oppinion and shouldn’t told as if it were a fact. Only the Zodiac knows for sure.
Some of the letters that were believed to be real Zodiac letters, later were believed not to be,because of the Toschi letters.
Toschi never signed any of his fan letters Zodiac, or implied they were from Zodiac.

Myself I believe the Badlands and the April 24th letters were real Zodiac letters and so did Sherwood Morrill, whom I believe was the very best handwriting expert they had on the case.

I think it’s obvious he is sharing his ideas as to why he has come to his conclusions and that is good. It’s the conclusions which some of us would like clarified–for the sake of understanding and perhaps more would jump on board

For example we have his statement below. Obviously he has a person in mind. He is specific with a year and the information provided is quite detailed. If he does not wish to provide a name (sounds like the man is still alive), that is understandable. Sounds like this is a person who was in the public and his story has been told, but now we have to going digging to try and figure out who he is talking about. "He might be a Jew (born in 1936)…" Well, yes, he might be. He might be a lot of things. Why should we believe he might be a Jewish man born in 1936? Otherwise….WHY??

I read that U.S. cars used 6 volt batteries from the 1930 to 1952. Could have worked on cars when he was a younger man. As an example–if Zodiac were around 35 in 1969, he would have been born in 1934. He would have been about 18 in 1952. People kept cars for years. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility he was familiar with 6 volt car batteries–if he was an American.

1936 is good too.

He might be Jew, and hated what the VW
stood for. Hitler, Germany, Nazi, etc.

He might have started out as a kid
with a scanner listing to traffic reports,
then got on his bicycle and (Rushed)
to the accident scene, took tire track-
skid marks, photos,
then got the police report, and mailed
his prints to the Ins. co. for $$$$

If I had sent you a photo, then you would
have traced it back to me. (sic)

Blind Bat

…and this…"Richmond". "Look forward or use the rear view mirror"….?? …Please enlighten us! (..and these are just examples from one thread)

I have been asked a question.
Have I shared any of my info
with LE?

If LE reads this, and they do not dig
into their archives and research
this Ripper…
And if they can’t see that Zodiac had
access to the SFC morgue…
And the Zodiac patterned his writings
and area murders after Jack, then…

Riverside and Richmond?
Vallejo and Vallejo?

Look forward or use the rear view mirror?

Blind Bat

Again, no one is forcing him to write a certain way. It is simply a request.

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

I too-enjoy Blind Bats posts. They are refreshing.Yes, I also would like more details in his statements. He could be putting on a show. But what if this is the only way he does know how to communicate..If I was asked to change my writing skills and thought process—It would be a most difficult task since my writing language (communication skills) have been with me all my life.

Count me in on the ones who like Bat and have no issue with his style. It’s different for sure but love the fact he or she is firing things up and making people post positive mostly and even some negative post. Point is Bat is shaking things up where in the past you see a certain topic that haven’t been touched in days on here before Bat. Bringing life to the forum and that is a good thing!

Hi Stitch,
That’s my feelings also. Plus if you really read the things Bat posted, their posts are basically saying the Z might of gotten some of his ideas from these old articles, books, adds & ect. I don’t see it as fact, I see it as pondering, what if…

Exactly bmichelle,
I have my own thought process, writing style & even verbiage, a lot learned growing up in Vallejo. We have have different paths, thought process & even deficits & that’s who we are & the reason behind the way we express our selves. I see Bat, giving us a new way to look at old information & the good totally outweighs him bugging someone. All posters get bugged by others now and then. Shaking it up, I like that! If one totally reads every article Bat posts, the answers are there, it’s just a different way to look at it.

Sandy’s Post explains Bats ideas & way of thinking perfectly! Re read what Sandy posted, it makes total sense. Also, We do know the Zodiac rode in cars with people as he rode with Paul Stine (saw that Z didn’t ride with people in someone’s post?)

Please point out the findings.

Sandy, have you missed the one or two threads that have been presented over the years dealing with zodiac letter analysis?

Zodiac writing about the" middle" wire of Cheri Jo’s car told me he wasn’t a machanic , but knew enough to know the car wouldn’t start by removing it. Something that I knew as a young female, when my coil wire was removed from my car in 1968. (My father was a machanic is how I knew)

Some of the letters that were believed to be real Zodiac letters, later were believed not to be,because of the Toschi letters.
Toschi never signed any of his fan letters Zodiac, or implied they were from Zodiac.

And the bat clears this mystery up how…?

Myself I believe the Badlands and the April 24th letters were real Zodiac letters and so did Sherwood Morrill, whom I believe was the very best handwriting expert they had on the case.

Bat revelation for this is what…?

Sorry, not picking on you, Sandy, but I fail to see the epiphany. I’ve been following this case for at least 15 years and I just don’t see the freshness that you seem to .

There are terabytes of data showing Z related paraphernalia. Surely from your internet site experiences you seen most of it.
There’s a recent thread on TV’s site where the author goes into extreme detail proposing and finally proclaiming proof that Lee Harvey Oswald’s brother was the Zodiac killer. I will give the guy credit for having the balls to at least attempt proving his theory.

Bat is blindly throwing guano on the wall in the form of questions and vague statements without providing any legitimate theorem.

Thanks for listening. Just expressing my opinion. I will not be addressing this subject again.

Below is part of Morfs Welcome to the site post…I think it applies here……..

"I want everyone that becomes a member here to feel comfortable, and have a good time. At this forum, you won’t get talked down to, no matter what your level of knowledge regarding the case, and you will not have to worry about being banned for having your own opinion, or not agreeing with the powers that be. Just be respectful of others and keep things civilized, and we can all have some fun. I am certainly not a Zodiac ‘Expert’, and I am looking forward to learning more from the various members and researchers that may come here. I think all of us can certainly learn more about the case, and none of us are really truly ‘experts’. If we were, the case probably wouldn’t be unsolved."

It most certainly applies here.

Let me reiterate, we will not ban Blind Bat of having his own opinion or for not agreeing. Us moderators do that all the time. Our posts are not a threat to him.

We have tried to be respectful…just asking him to get to the point; explain what it is he is talking about. We appreciate discussion, but this board isn’t a free for all to post senseless dialogue. There are still guidelines.

BLIND BAT: Do you have a person of interest and are your posts (for the most part) pertaining to that person?
(Don’t worry–you won’t be banned if you don’t answer. ;) )

Tahoe, just curious who is we? I’m on a totally different page & Blind Bat doesn’t brother me at all, like I said I personally like his posts. I vote he stays. If he has a person of interest, then he’s even welcome to start a thread under possible POI’s = Possible Person of Interest. Who know’s its been 40 plus years & his posts might change our paradigm of thinking. Some of his finds seem very feasible that The Real Zodiac could of been influenced by them.

Sorry Zam, but I’m not sure you have been comprehending my posts!

"We" are the ones who have voiced our frustrations about Blind Bat and are asking for clarity.

Where is this vote and why are you voting? There is absolutely ZERO discussion about him being banned or asking him to leave!!

It would be nice if he started a thread for his POI—sort of why I asked about one. ;)

As far as some of the images he has posted, no one has denied any of it could have been an influence. How would anyone possibly know or not know what influenced Zodiac. I have commended Blind Bat for some of his finds and even shared them at ZodiacKiller.com!

And yes if he has a POI, then blind bat, we’d all love to hear more, so start a thread under possible Persons of Interest. In the mean time, I feel his findings could of very strongly influenced the Zodiac. He’s finding & sharing some new material to ponder, I luv that! Blind Bat, post on…

I’m enjoying Blind Bats finds & posts as it challenges my paradigm of thinking. Bat has their own style & personality which is a good thing.
If you don’t like someone’s posts, past them by, but let the rest of us enjoy them.
Thanks, Zam*

I’m not asking him to stop posting. I am just asking him to be more clear so that more people can appreciate whatever it is he is trying to say. If you like the challenge, that’s great. Some of us would just prefer to know what it actually is he is trying to get at.

I agree 100% with you Tahoe.
Blind Bat may, or may not, have inputs of interest, however his/her cryptic writing style is IMHO a typical "attention h…" style.
BB is the kind that is insinuating a lot of things, wrapping it in a mysterious veil, and never getting to the point, all in order to get people attention.
Just notice how BB in a few days have gotten lots of forum members discussing BBs odd way of coming across with his/her "opinions/info", instead of discussing the actual case.
And IMHO the only remotely info/opinion of possible interest is the peek-a-boo/eyes/eyelashes detective with connection to Belli, but thats it, the rest of it does not impress me in any way whatsoever.

My suggestion is that BB either drop the cryptic style, and if BBs refuse, give BB ONE single thread of his/her own, and ask BB to stay there so that we don’t have to deal with tons of threads with his/her, to many of us, annoying cryptic style.

Hi, english is not my first language so please bear with me :)
