I created this a while ago, but still feel as if there are some I am missing. If anyone notices anything, please let me know.

Handy image; thanks!
Here’s another one that shows other kinds of patterns (intersecting trigrams, the little "box corners", and some repeated fragments):

Interesting Tahoe. I would like to think that all of those repeated symbol patters are words being used multiple times, but I think the skilled cipher people here would likely disagree and say this is not a simple substitution cipher,or it would have been solved already

Thanks guys!!
I don’t think my highlights here will solve the 340 , but I hope it makes it easier on the eyes to see the repeated patterns….left to right at least.
I also believe with so many matching double symbols, there is something to it.
Firstly, to say I know the basics of Cipher code construction, the various types of cipher encryption, and so on, is being kind. I know very little about Cryptography. The top line almost seems to be an anagram of something along the lines of "Loiter with Dog" or "Dog Loitering." And at the bottom of the cipher there are two very clear words that spell "Posh Boy". If that is what it is intending to say, then it’s making reference to the night he attacked in Presidio Heights surely?
"So it’s sorta social. Demented and sad, but social, right?" Judd Nelson.

No, not surely.
Not in cipher land. However I always read it/see it as "Poshboy" as well.
"Posh Boyo" I prefer. This, coupled with Fouke’s ‘Welsh Ancestry’ comment, undoubtedly points to Zodiac being Welsh. I can hear him now on the phone to Dave Slaight….
"Rite now listen here now boyo, I want to report a double murder now see boyo. Aye see I am the one who did it see. Diolch i chi am eich amser bellach Boyo, hwyl fawr!
"So it’s sorta social. Demented and sad, but social, right?" Judd Nelson.
And one word that jumps off the page at me also, is the very familiar ‘TOM’, as in his ‘Victom.’ Could just be simple coincidence but with Zodiac you just never know.

Now I think that’s a huge clue……ok I don’t I’m not too proud to re-use an old joke. I suppose then that the ‘mess’ at the end of the exorcist letter could be interpreted as the countdown timer from the Predator movies? (this previously being appreciated by Duckking over on ZKF)
I’m being cheeky but only in jest. No malice intended.
If we are looking for words or anagrams, how about ‘Her’ to start off the cipher, or the word ‘posh’ could be anagrammed to ‘shop’, or ‘boy’ could be part of ‘body’. It does seem as if random words or parts of words pop out frequently. Was this the case with the solved Cipher? The only word I remember from that one was GYKE

Well, I happen to believe that the man behind Zodiac, who found cipher codes and encryptions a breeze, but was completely unable to spell the most basic of words such as ‘victim’ correctly is not at all likely to be the true. Just my opinion that I’ve said on other threads several times that I believe Zodiac is doing it for a specific purpose.
"So it’s sorta social. Demented and sad, but social, right?" Judd Nelson.
As I said before, he constantly misspelled ‘Avery’ as ‘Averly’ but made it obviously this was deliberate by underlining a section of the name. And again, given that he seems to love word games (sending hidden messages and encrypted words in codes etc) why does it seem unlikely that he’s doing this again with words such as "Des" in place of ‘Dec’ and Victom opposed to Victim. Is Christmass another example of his dyslexia, or is it his deliberate combining of two words, Christ and Mass, into one?

Welsh, I think the overwhelming consensus on Zodiac’s spelling errors, is that they were all done on purpose by him. There are multiple instances of Z spelling a word wrong, and then later on in the same letter, spelling it right. Apparently, he started off trying to spell words wrong, but later out of habit, spelled the same word right without realizing he had purposely spelled it wrong earlier. I do agree, Z was trying to draw attention to the LAV in the words pauLAVery. For what, thats anybody’s guess.
