Topps the maker of baseball trading cards has a small set of trading cards on Codes, Ciphers and Cryptographs. There are only 10 cards in the set and they are mini cards. They are not kidding when they say mini, they measure 2 1/4" W X 1 1/2" L.

Who would have thought that ciphers and codes would be popular enough with the public that they would offer these?

Here is the set, magnified so you have a hope of reading what’s on them.

Yes, I saw those on Ebay a few nights back. Thanks for taking the time to post them Deb.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

Do they at least give you a stick of gum with these? I’m honestly not sure I’d want my son trading say… Miguel Cabrera for Zodiac.

That’s really cool. Good find. I miss my Topps baseball card collecting days when I was a kid

I got these as a set and did not collect them per se so no gum for me. I was curious to see what was on the backs of the cards as none of the photos showed this. I do not have any idea which series of cards contain these "bonus" mini cards. My sons collected baseball cards and it can be a pretty expensive and addictive venture!

I think the back of the Zodiac card is probably the most truthful, real statement I have read in a while.

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969
