Timothy Rayhel, a noteworthy contributor to Zodiac cipher research, recently passed away:

He frequently posted his thoughts about the Zodiac Killer’s ciphers under the name "Glen Claston" on Tom’s board. Here’s a good example of his posts:

His posts were always well-informed and thought-provoking. His participation was one of the motivating factors that led to the creation of ZKDecrypto. He will be greatly missed.
That’s too bad. Thanks for sharing the info Dave. One less great cipher mind we have now working on the case.

Bummer.
Very sad news indeed. I was always interested to read what Glen had to say. He’ll certainly be missed. Thank you, Dave, for letting us know.

I didn’t know of him….before my time on the message boards.
Thank you for sharing his work. I look forward to reading about it, and him.
Rest in peace Timothy.
I just read the thread in which he posted and it is very informative.
Sad to hear that..guess he was the first in the web who had used the term ‘sequential homophone cipher’ in connection with the Z340.
