Thanks. Great posts so far.

I apologize if I came off as sounding pushy, I was simply trying to determine the context of the conversation so I could join in productively, I mean, I don’t want to be rambling on about a trithemius cipher when the topic at hand involves Poe and potential connections to zodiac.

While I am still having some trouble becoming oriented with the subject matter I do not mean to inconvenience or slow the conversation, thank you for your patience.

Hi zresearch
No, that’s not it.
I appreciate your ideas, and u can post the will, any ideas, even if not linked to the topic, I know, sometimes ideas arise in moments that read something, even if not correlated.
In connection with the connection of Zodiac and Poe, (ciphers), it is something I am studying, but almost certain that it is just something to be buried, just like the treasure of Poe’s tale (not that it has value, but rather the opposite of this)
cheers :)

…the issue that I have is that I will illuminate a variety of topics with in a small space of time, and not everybody can keep up, some people have difficulty in even understanding how some points are even interrelated, one of my friends says listening to me talk is like "fireworks", I am sure my typing can be just as difficult. I have found that when you present too many topics too quickly it’s like being in a boxing match, where you just keep hitting them, and every time just before they can regroup and get their head together they get hit again. …you end up knocking them out of the conversation. They get confused and loose interest, specially when they can not coherently make the connections between the subject matter presented.

It would be great if there was a connection between Poe and zodiac. I mean, Poe did offer out a challenge that he could "solve any cipher mailed to him", and that sounds exactly like the type of challenge that would make zodiac take interest in an individual.

I always got the feeling that zodiac was a fan of literature as well as theatre, and that the dark and slightly morbid writings of Poe would have appealed to zodiac. Then there are the connections between Poe and cipher work, which also probably would have appealed to zodiac.

So we have the same "problem". I also, when I talk to my good friends (they have the same problem as us), we ramble on any and all issues, which arise, sometimes derived from what started and follow a (digressive) direction in which we do not know why we are debating the "final subject".
I love talking like that, with a lot of laughs of course. I like "restless minds".

With regard to Poe, I can not ignore, as I have already shown at the outset, that there are 204 letters in the message, and that it can be divided into 12 lines of 17 (exactly half the length of the cipher Z408)

53‡‡†305))6*;4826
)4‡.)4‡);806*;48†
8¶60))85;;]8*;:‡*
8†83(88)5*†;46(;8
8*96*?;8)*‡(;485)
;5*†2:*‡(;4956*2(
5*-4)8¶8*;4069285
);)6†8)4‡‡;1(‡9;4
8081;8:8‡1;48†85;
4)485†528806*81(‡
9;48;(88;4(‡?34;4
8)4‡;161;:188;‡?;

The probability of coincidence is small, imagine, take, any text from previous writings, a biblical passage that is, eliminate the punctuation, and try to arrive at a suggestive number like this, now it is added to the fact that the text (in this case) refers to a CIPHER !!! .
It may not be the key to solving something, but it may have been the inspiration for the 17-column model in known ciphers.
cheers :)

It has this excellent article about the similarity of the cryptogram "la buse" with the cipher of "gold-bug" of length, also, of 17lines…

See the illustration, in the bau, there is a resemblance to the crossed circle of infamous z wore.

Many of the pirates had ciphers. A good deal of pirates and privateers were also freemasons, both groups are associated with ciphers.

Zodiac never said his name was in any of his ciphers, he said "in these ciphers is my identity", identity and name are two different things, so rather than looking for an actual name, perhaps we should be looking for ques as to this persons identity…

The crossed circle on the Olivier Levasseur chest is a Celtic cross. The Celtic wheel cross is identical to the zodiac sign, however, the Celtic cross depicted on the chest in that particular image was used by many groups for many different reasons over long periods of times.
