User3000-

Your post is simply wrong in almost every single respect.

If one is creating a cipher, and "creating new symbols" then how, exactly does one "run out" of them? Simply create another new symbol. It’s not rocket science, and it isn’t as if the symbols came down from on high etched into a stone tablet or something.

As well, the solvers have NO PROBLEM with ciphers with the same multiplicity as the Z340. So many people created example ciphers, and so far as I know, all of them with the same or lower multiplicity have been solved. Here’s a big list:

Have you ever created a cipher by hand?

I would guess that he created most of the symbols before encoding the cipher.

I have created a correct 340 symbol cipher with the following characteristics.

* Fewer symbols than Z340. 52.
* Several one letter to one specific symbol relation. Not as good distribution as Z340.
* A message in line what he would write.
* No incorrect spellings.
* No encoding errors.

And it can’t be decoded by the tools. I’m pretty sure the tools are a waste of time. You need to find a flaw in the way Z340 is encoded or make a really good guess.

Please post your example cipher if you would. In numeric form if possible, sometimes the board can mess up text ciphers.
If you can only post it as text, try to enclose it in the "code" tag so it will (hopefully) display properly.

Thanks!
